Is eee worth it after ss?

After I got 99 prayer I have been experimenting with the best ways to heal, so far I have found the best way to be sgs spec with ss and turm on, almost 100% heal each time. I then have another spec for claws or dds.

 

I don't really see much point in using eee when I already have a def boost from ovls.

 

Am I right in thinking that the only real use for this (for me) would be skilling mini games such as pp and general skilling like agility?

 

Edit: This is for general slayer and camping some monsters < lvl 180

If doing Slayer with Overloads, eee is probably the best spec weapon. Its stupid wasting Prayer Points flashing SS if you could just 1click a Spec Bar and watch yourself heal. Using anything else for a Spec weapon is pretty stupid for the avg slayer task. I mean really, Claws? That gets you what, like 3 kills more p/h? At DKs and TDs though i'd stick with Claws as its easy enough to SS your way back to full LP and there high hitting specs are almost a must have.

Even without SS I rarely use my EEE, still a good thing to bring in case your bunyip can't keep up. I've basically replaced my food with spec rests atm (Helps claws get a lot more than 3 kills/hr) and it seems to work pretty well.

Claws will speed up Kuradal tasks quite significantly (as these increases go), as you can expect a claw spec to hit 50% higher than a rapier hit at least. If you casually drink 1.2 doses of spec recover per minute, that's 250% special/5 mins or 5 specs, on a maximum of 125 hits, probably 110 or so. Claws would then speed up the task by 2.5 hits per 110 hits, or 2%. That's more than, say, tassets, about on par with bcp/torso or berserker (i).

 

If cannoning in single-combat this can be more significant if you use your specs on targets far away from the cannon. This 'frees up' the cannon to fire at closer opponents, which it can hit more often per rotation.

 

Short answer: no, don't bother. Heal up after overloading unless you are protected (e.g. at steels) in which case your health is a great overload timer. Claw spec, ks spec on irons/steels/miths/wyverns.

Slaying with overs usually implies constant turmoil.On the few tasks where you can't use a combat familiar(which you should use while slaying) you can use buny(or pony for miths) to keep you healed.Go with claws/dds/korasi specials.

That's how I do just about every assignment now. It even keep up when I went to Dark Beasts earlier, though I was using a Pros setup + turm for that.

If your quick prayer is on for only one tick then your prayer doesn't drain at all.

At least, I've been through assignments of 200+ monsters before and my prayer has stayed at 95/95 the whole way through.

That means you're not actually getting the boost. I'm like 99% sure that even flashing uses up prayer, just a LOT slower.

You guys are way too intense for me. That 2% increase works out to less than a minute and a half saved per task. I'd rather eat the minute and a half and be able to leisurely get through my task without getting an ulcer, constantly potting and watching my spec bar (or even worse, prayer flashing).

 

I'm not putting down what you guys are doing, but I tend to factor in how much I need to pay attention when figuring out how much time a task takes. If I take 1:02 to do a task but only pay attention for five minutes, that beats a task that takes 1:00 but requires me to pay attention nearly the entire time.

Didn't wait long enough) ... wait .... wait .... drink (DENIED!!!) .... wait ... waaaaaaiiiiiiiittt ... drink (VICTORY!!!! YESSS!) .... wait ... wait .... wait ...wait ...wait ........... Zzzzzzzz...... drink (DENIED! Waited to long! Spec restored by itself.) Spec ....

 

 

I can tell you with absolute honestly that I can live a completely contented life without having to deal with this. The 10 extra hours would be a blessing.
