If Jagex intends to make this place for clans to recruit, they don't know anything about the clan world. Mass recruiting for a clan is pretty much a self imposed death sentence by any clan that tries it. People interested in the clan world knows how to seek out the good clans themselves, the quality of the recruits at this camp will just be useless meatshields that destroys a clan's culture. Meaning that the top tier clans like ROT/RSD/TT won't even think about using this. I don't even think RSB clans such as EB/WF would consider using something as pointless as this.

 

On a side note, the graphics are pretty good.

The moving of the air altar was for the noobygates. The air altar, being the lowest RC altar, was outside of that range, and as Jagex is scared that the poor noobs might die because of a wandering evil imp, they relocated the altar to varrock. Has nothing to do with the clan update, I guess. It's just that there is a blank spot there, one of the last in the crammed world Gielinor is.

 

TBH: the past years we haven't had any large new landmasses, only portals to other dimensions, dungeons, or the occasional cramming of an already filled area. Really odd, because when I started members around 2004 we almost got every few months a new area with quest updates etc.

 

Because if there are npcs telling u "how to be a true Pk clan", ill rage.

Year of the clan content :-( I wish it was year of the fix-what-needs-to-be-fixed year, like no catapult in castle wars, master capes for all skills - providing you have the amount of xp needed for level 120 in that skill etc. etc.

 

For me the best thing of that update is the trees - they look amazing! Like others have said though, the only thing this circus update will do is create an even larger obstacle now between falador and port sarim/rimmington.

I'm still wondering when the year-of-awesomeness will start, I think they announced it 15 months ago, but haven't seen a thing of it yet.

You know that you aren't the experts on how to improve clan support in the game, you might have the technical ability, time, and money, but you don't have any idea on how your ideas are going to be received. Clan/Community content shouldn't be something that affects markets unlike quests, dungeons and skill content, so don't keep it a secret. Tell us what ideas you have floating around in detail and we'll gladly give you feedback on each and every one. We'll tell you why it's good, or why it's bad, how to improve it, or if you should ditch the idea altogether. If you ask nicely, we won't even charge money for doing so, unlike some members of the company that probably do.

 

If you really want to get a cohesive community going that covers a larger part of the game, become part of it. Tell us what you're doing and we'll help you! Argh!

+1. I am SO SICK of Jagex spending a bunch of dev time on TOP SEKRET STUF and then when it comes out it's misguided and useless. Let players tell you what they want, and THEN use resources on it. Gah!

I gave up on raging about updates a long time ago. Jagex doesnt care and my opinion doesnt matter unless 500k+ players angrily feel the same way
