PuppyKing
What are some good choices of getting 96-99 smithing? I do not want to get sterling creation hammers. Thanks. Blog.
Swiller2
Smelting while superheating gold at edgeville furnace with best varrock armour and goldsmith gauntlets is how i did it. Fairly fast and cheap.

LinkOlaran
From what Grimy's spreadsheet said before he removed them, addy platebodies were still 256k xp/hr. That's probably assuming max attention and using a beast of burden, though. I know I personally didn't achieve that when I was getting 99. Personally, I trained by smelting gold ore until the low 90s, and the last couple levels I did addy platebodies, no sc hammers. I personally dislike the minigame, and felt I would rather spend extra time earning the money back. Personal opinion, and undoubtedly inefficient :P Addy plates are expensive, though. If you don't have the money to pour into buying addy bars, go with gold ore smelting, or superheat/smelting - casting superheat ore during the smelting animation doesn't interrupt it, so you can do both at the same time and severely ramp up the xp/hr, but it does cost more (in gp and attention). Assuming Jagex didn't do anything to 'fix' superheat/smelting... normal gold ore smelting using the goldsmithing gauntlets was about... 65k xp/hr, if I recall (this was a fairly long time ago, so my memory may be slightly off). Superheat/smelting was about 130k xp/hr. Those who're more efficient than me may know a more exact xp rate, though. Probably end up faster than me as well :P
Lose No Hope
Actually, the gp/xp rate isn't that bad for addy plates right now in light of the aviansie bots. They piss me off when I'm getting my armadyl killcount though.... <_< 99 HP, Attack, Strength, Defence, Summoning, Ranged, Herblore, Prayer, Agility, Magic, Slayer, Fletching, Fishing, Woodcutting, Mining, and Thieving. oliboli1992
Yeah you should be doing Addy Plates. About 6gp/exp last time i checked. with sc hammers or without?Would that include a scroll of effiency? Addy Bars became hella cheap due to all the Aviansie bots. Also, did a quick check just now. Assuming everything buys at mid and you seel the plates for 9700gp each its a 5.44gp/exp loss. Quyneax
You mean the scroll reduced gp/xp by 1.5%, or the total cost for the bars to make one platebody by 1.5%? Because in the first case you get 4.4128, in the second case it's 3.94. But if that's not the case then I'm always glad to save even more GP  It took me 34476 bars to make 7000 platebodies, if that helps any. That's 1179000 gp saved on 2187500 xp, or about half a gp per xp less.
