curny4
So I have had a terrible experience with Nomad.First time I went to fight him was a test attempt and he healed all of his health back and this seems to be a problem for me. IN NO GUIDE DOES IT TELL YOU WHEN HE HITS 1/4 HP THE SECOND TIME THAT WHEN HE MELEES YOU HAVE TO LET HIM HIT YOUOR HE WILL RESTORE ALL OF HIS HEALTH SO YOU CANT USE THE PILLARS! SO IF YOUR LOOKING AT ANY GUIDETHEY NEVER EVER TELL YOU THAT YOU CANT HIDE BEHIND PILLAR DURING THIS!
Aceethan
"One strategy is to run behind a pillar and employ a "hit and run" strategy, allowing Nomad to only strike once per melee hit (instead of the 3 or so per returned hit normally). Be careful, however, as staying behind a pillar too long will result in Nomad screaming "Coward!" and restoring all of his life points." This is a passage from the Tip.it guide. If a guide doesn't mention when you can not do a certain something, it is usually safe to assume that can not applies to the entire amount of time spent doing whatever you are doing. i_trollz_u
You can still use the pillars, you just can't stand there for very long and have to basically kite nomad while healing behind the pillars.

I'm asking because every guide I have ever used did tell that if Nomad can't attack you for 5 seconds, he will teleport and restore his health. "An Amateur practices until he can get it right. A Professional practices until he can't get it wrong." Quests just keep bringing me back to this game.

I_am_Geed
Both those are listed in the guide.....I have no idea what hes talking about LOL Maybe he just skimmed it and was like "HERP DERP IM INVONCIBLE GL NOMAN NUB" It took me 15 tried to kill nomad with melee and 99 defence. Quit whining.

Star_Fox
I found Nomad to be pretty easy. Used no guides, heck not even brews/restores! Using melee with a good weapon and at least adequate stats should beenough to handle Nomad. I don't know how you can die so many times and rage to forums about it.

I remember how much I hated Nomad when he came out... Of course, I killed Nomad a day or two after he came out... For the record, I realize Nomad came out like over a year ago and your stats have probably changed significantly since then, but I notice that as well as saying he's easy, you have 99 att/str/def/pray and 104 DG. I am... curious about what your stats looked like when you killed him. Squab unleashes Megiddo! Completed all quests and hard diaries. 75+ Skiller. My strengh and defence were in the high 80s and attack was 98 and I killed him on same day with welfare gear on second attempt with no extremes or turm/ss. I found him incredibly easy as well. Three months banishment to 9gag is something i would never wish upon anybody, not even my worst enemy.

Zaaps1
Yup. I was maxed melee with a tort + uni, zammy spear, and extremes when I took on nomad 21 tries. It's funny because the newest boss took me 2 attempts (discounting the one when i mega-lagged). ~It's Super Effective! sohkmj1
Nomad is not terribly difficult to beat once you get it down. Try using a spirit kyatt when your BoB runs out. Spamming the scroll does a ton of damage. I got Nomad at 118 combat (average 80ish melees except for 99 strength and 75 Ranged). Didn't have access to extremes, and I got him on my fifth or so try. I wonder if posting "u mad bro" on every thread in Rants is a good idea.. "Only by going too far can one find out how far one can go." T.S.
