EE will do, EEE only has a boosted healing, statwise it's the same (Claws and EE combo is better than every other Chaotic combo, barring momentum, because of the low accuracy of EE).

Unless the changed it accuracy is only determined by your main hand weapon meaning if you use a drygore mace and a bronze offhand dagger, your offhand dagger will be just as accurate as your mace hence using a 1h chaotic mainhand and the eee is better dps than the maul/any dual wield chaotic combo (dual claws might be an exception due to the extra 1.8% crit) barring certain multitarget situations.

does anyone have any data to back this up? For both AAs and abilities? Did a brief inconclusive test at iron drags (using a rapier+ OH bronze sword ended up less accurate than dw rapier, but more accurate then dw bronze sword when only recording OH hits) and I'm tired.

DK drops (solo/LS): 66 hatchets, 14 archer rings, 13 berserker rings, 17 warrior rings, 12 seerculls, 13 mud staves, 7 seers rings

QBD drops: 1 kite, 2 visages, 4 dragonbone kits, 3 effigies, lots of crossbow parts

CR vs. CLS threads always turn into discussions about penis size.
...
It's not called a Compensation Longsword for nothing.

I've sent a 12k combat mission to have Aiel assassinated (poor bastard isn't even Pincers-tier difficulty).

Current theory is off-hand accuracy only affects off-hand autoattacks, nothing else.

Crits are 75-125% max hit for autoattacks and 100% of max hit for abilities. Each % crit is 1% extra dps. You'll notice that ability crits are always the same, but auto crits aren't.

Actually the J mod post that explained how crit works said that it was a 75% hit with 1-50% added on so it would be 76-125%

Not that it would make a difference.

Current consensus is that for the price it comes with (1 extra bind for essentially no gain over pre-existing 2h'ers), the update is dead on arrival. But otherwise, DW BAxes seems to be the best dps in theory (I have no idea how 2h fair against DW in a real situation where rotation are taken into account).

My take is: Unless the weapons are better than your current 2h, I probably won't bother with it. I am getting little enough binds as it is

The EoE reform worked out to a new clan, Collam Daan. No news to WoT fans, Collam Daan is the university Mierin Aes Sedai researched at. I am honoured to be the clan leader :).

Some changes:

We have changed the ranking system, everyone is the same rank unless moderating powers require otherwise.

We take recruits.

We do events, though we'll need to plan some first :P.

We do not focus on dg, but on every aspect of the game, from a fairly veteran and high-levelled position (e.g. mostly 2200+, but that is not a requirement by any means!).

We do not prefer any way to play the game over another, but that isn't a change.

Our official mascot is the pheoenix.

Would it be worth taking DW baxes if I don't have any decent existing binds? Right now I have hood, emp cat staff, 2h, plate, kite, and Dw baxes, the last 4 items all courtesy to the fine folks at dung smith. Are the other styles worth taking in DG yet? There was some chitchat that ranged could be decent with DW knives.

Also I'm considering applying to CD, but I need to know the level of affinity to the one and only Brassica Prime.

I don't think dw baxes are worth it in any case, if you have them you should replace them with the same tier maul, spear or 2h. Ranged is great in dg, get a high tier bow. DW knives are meh, but at least they don't take an ammo bind.

We haven't discussed any gods yet, and I don't think we will. The level of affinity is whatever you make it :P.

In principle we have no requirements. We do select people to join, but that's more of an idiot filter.

If you're not familiar with EoE yet, you might want to guest for a bit and see what it's like :).

Hardly.

Having both an attack range over one, and dps equal to primal 2h, and frag shot/ricochet?

Unless there is some weird calculation going on, you have your 2h at 2360 damage, average speed (393/tick) and shortbow at 1967 damage, fast speed (393/tick). Given that there's tons of ranged weak stuff in dg that is also very annoying (entangle, summons) I'd say it's certainly worth using a bow along with 2h. As always if you have unequal tiers it's different.

Why would 2 primal baxes be better than a 2h? Don't most abilities only use the wep damage from the mainhand, which is lower than 2hs. Even if decimate and frenzy etc are really op it'd still mean less thresholds and most of the basics a fair amount worse.

Although dual wielding is nice for momentum dg, of course. Knives looked weaker than bows but I didn't go into it at all.

Dual wielding magic looks good though. They (finally) fixed the magic-dg abilities, now they do fair amounts.

I quickly grabbed these hits:

1785 max with wrack ccs fsurge

1728 max with wrack fsurge grave wand + spiritbloom orb dual wield

(So probably the same had I had a celestial wand or w/e)

1995 f surge ccs (not a max - should be around 2163 hopefully now)

That newish ability concentrated blast looks possibly like a reason to use dual wield over ccs.

Too bad about the hex nerf. Any reason to use dual wielding knives?

They changed weapon abilities recently to take the off-hand into account as well. Destroy and massacre are the two DW abilities that people are finding to be good. I thought about it over a little more and it the difference isn't clear cut enough to warrant a whole extra bind.

Idk the actual reasoning for considering dw knives, it was just some buzz in dung smith the day of the dw update. The only good reason I've actually seen is because the dw ranged ability looks cool :P

@Tui: Dual wield magic is better than staff magic because of that one basic, but you also need a full extra bind to use it, so meh. Same for battleaxes: off-hands are taken into account now as Sinkhan said, but the same dps for one more bind, and 2h weapons actually have better basics and equal tresholds. Knives are again the same, a good basic and ult, but still not really great - might as well just use deadshot with Sagittarian shortbow. The biggest advantage of knives is the ability to bind laws as ammo, so you can effectively bind two weapons to free up the ammo slot.

Shitty thing about dual wield magic though is that reselecting your main hand autocast is more annoying now as it has an extra interrupt-able menu, as you have to reselect that each time you die. The off-hand autoselect does not get deselected upon death though :)

Yeah melee 2h is better as you said.

At 120 though you do have a lot of room with your binds. Tribridding doesn't seem useful as switching styles in gds usually wastes dps and 2 styles is plenty. I see no reason to have 3 styles for bosses either. If I had to choose a style to drop I'd drop magic first since it's accuracy has me concerned - from using it since eoc it doesn't seem to have as good accuracy on mages compared to melee on meleers or ranged on rangers. But it's possible that's just me being paranoid. The only bad thing about dual wield range is the first attack will always average much lower damage. Laws make up for this of course, but for magic the extra bind and first hit bonus may be reason to consider staff over dual wield. Hopefully unload works as good as or better than incendiary shot for gulega. Though it does mean fragmentation shot and slaughter are less effective as unload requires target not to move from square X. Although you can possibly move the target as long as part of them is in that square.

Hood is better than plate if you hybrid a lot and don't mind less defense. Body (in whatever style you predominantly use, probably melee) is better otherwise.

Off-hand doesn't... what. So it is possible for Jagex to save autocast spell, but they don't do it? Idiots.

Tribrid seems meh yeah, and I'd drop mage simply because of the stupid autocast >.>. First hit is a good point.

For Gulega, is it better to melee the lot and Berserk when Assault is on cd or alternate Rapid Fire+Snap Shot/Assault+Sever?

I used hood for a long while, but I got tired of being one-shot by summoning doors + 120 zombies from full lp >.>. That happened several times actually.

I calculated incendiary shot as over 6x the dps as berserk before the dual-wield update. Unload if you're using dual wield from the description sounds even better.

"Unload both your weapons at your target's current location for 6 seconds. Every 2 seconds, all targets standing at that location will take damage equal to 35% of maximum life points. Combo attack."

Iirc attacks do exactly 1/4 damage against gulega. If unload works as described it is probably worth using on a lot of bosses. Assuming it maxes at 5000 (which is what incendiary shot does against gulega if accurate) would mean 15000 damage (if it hits). That's really high.

Btw veng doesn't work on gulega anymore. Neither does that reflect half damage or w/e defensive ability.

Ingame description of unload is different.

"Unload both your weapons at your target's current location for 6 seconds. Every 2 seconds, all targets standing at that location will take damage up to 110% of weapon damage. Each subsequent hit gains an additional 10% damage. Combo attack."

So rip against gulega, I guess.
