Hahaha just seen most of these posts! Sorry I've not been around guys I have missed you all <3:

 

So essentially there's been a fair few IRL developments lately that kinda stopped my motivation to Scape for a while. So here's what happened:

 

Firstly Livid farm destroyed my soul... Literally. Got half way through and I died inside.

 

 

 

Secondly, dunno how many of you kept up with OT and the "Girlfriend/Boyfriend thread", but essentially things went badly with the girlfriend. Middle of July she stopped talking to me full stop, 1st August she started cheating on me, 10thish we broke up but we didn't... We claimed the whole "Let's try friends with benefits thing".

 

But yeah, essentially I was emotionally [bleep]ed, like properly. So cue many texts to Kieran and others... Oh and I've lost over a stone in weight, because frankly I made myself ill through worry and just being sick/no appetite all the time. Still not quite 100% but getting there and I've decided what I'm going to do about the situation. Going back to FWB would only create bad things - especially for me - and she doesn't know that I know she's cheated... So I'm going to confront her, then cut her out of my life. I can't be doing with someone who'd betray me like that and dragging me down - which ultimately she did.

 

So many people warned me, facepalmed when I didn't listen, lost respect for me when I continued with her, then gave me a "told you so" when they found out what she did. But still, they then helped me back up off the floor and s'all good there. Half the people I talk to say to just send it her right now and cut her out my life, the other half say to confront her yet don't get angry angry, instead get calm angry at her. Much scarier. I'm currently in line with the latter, so yeah. Opinions maybe please people?

 

 

 

Thirdly, I've been here there and everywhere to see friends to take my mind off above point 2 and recharge my batteries. Went to Oxford for a week to see my friend Cannon who was the first to find out about her cheating on me, and secondly I spent about 3 days in Oswestry with an old close friend I graduated with last year. Also just had a friend come up from the Isle of Wight in order to do some of his Ph.D research as he's doing case studies of castles around Herefordshire as part of his Ph.D.

 

 

 

However, it's not all doom and gloom! It turns out I'm rather clever at times. I've managed to pass the taught part of my M.A. so far with an average of 73 which equals a Distinction. But more importantly than that, after last years performance of an almost perfect game (I had one sub 70 result the whole year - a 67) this year... I MANAGED A PERFECT GAME! 70+ IN EVERY SINGLE ESSAY :D BOOYAH!

 

So currently it all breaks down thus in terms of module averages:

 

Research Methodology - 72

Studying the Medieval - 72

The Cistercian World - 74

Thomas Becket - 74

Visual Culture of the Late Medieval Gentry - 71

Beowulf and the Anglo-Saxon Heroic - 73

 

Overall that means I'm on a 48 for my M.A. - a Pass already.

 

This all now means that for my M.A. dissertation I need:

 

0 to pass my M.A.

36 (a fail essentially) to pass my M.A. with Merit.

And 66 to pass my M.A. with Distinction.

 

I'm remarkably happy ofc, since that last grade is what I'm aiming for... So wish me luck!

Yes I fell off the world, and yes I missed you all. Not even my Xbox could fill the Runescape shaped hole in my life... And although I stumbled across gems like Dark Souls, I ended up coming back... Cause people always come back to Rune.

 

Anywho... My year in a nutshell:

 

 

I wrote 20,000 words... And apparently the uni said I was good.

 

 

 

 

So overall, with my grades (Research Methodology - 72, Studying the Medieval - 72, The Cistercian World - 74, Thomas Becket - 74, Visual Culture of the Late Medieval Gentry - 71, Beowulf and the Anglo-Saxon Heroic - 73) and a good solid 73 in my dissertation I got this...
