Pokemon ...

I'm somewhat ashamed to say that in my endless boredom I have begun playing Pokemon again.

I used to always play it about 1/2 through, then quit and come back six months later to start again. I'm now doing that with Sapphire; I played it over a year ago and got bored because I was too weak and never got past the eight gym.

So, does anyone else share my guilty pleasure? Or do I excell your geekdom with my rekindled attachment to pokemon?

Ive played emerald for like 15 mins.. throughout time I mustve completed every other version..

Red, blue, yellow, a crappy translation of green, gold, sylver, crystal, saphire and ruby.

And for those familiar with the roms around: Revolution, Pokemon 151, and the normal versions of the TCG and Puzzle game..

Meh, it's a decent rpg but never caught my attention for long... finished some of the games maybe twice. My younger brother on the other hand is a complete fanatic about it, competes in tournaments and everything. Even won a Mew for his Pokemon Red cartridge.

I loved Pokemon back in the day. :D I played Red, Blue, and Yellow version. My best version was blue. I had all the pokemon, an unbeatable team, (kids from around my neighborhood would come over to my house just to challenge my pokemon via link cable.) and I had Mew. :D

The children were always very compettitive with pokemon when I was into it. (around fourth grade) I remember the kids in a nearby town were into the card battle game. And the kids in the town where I live were into link cable battles, and we would always argue over which method of pokemon battling was the best.

But, we all collected the Burger King figures.

I recently got FireRed for GBA and let me tell you, it is amazzing. It helps you relive the memorys of the first game along with advanced graphics, i havent beat it yet, but supposily after you beat the elite four the 2nd game unfolds and you can catch the new pokemon(which i dont really like, old school fo life)

hehe Yeah I'm guilty too. Though not recently, simply because I can't find my GameBoy. If I knew where it was I'm sure I'd pop in my Yellow or Gold Version and play that for awhile. My favorite Pokemon game of all time was Pokemon Pinball. Two of my most favorite games combined into one glorious achievement of technology.

Ahh, those were the good days. I think after they came out with Ruby and Sapphire I started to lose my interest because it was obviously just another way for them to start the endless cycle of Pokemon over again.

I still remember when the first movie came out. That was the it movie to see way back when. I played the pokemon game for the 64 when all you could do was take pictures. It stinked.

I've still got my red and yellow somewheres under my bed.

The problem with the gene pool is that there's no lifeguard.

I remember being so thrilled when I found the duplicating cheat for Red/Blue/Yellow. That's the only way I managed to catch all 150/151 Pokemon was by duplicating the Masterball a million times. I was so lazy...

I just duplicated rare candy.

lol Yeah that too.

If anyone has played Pokemon Yellow, do you remember that mini-game where you could surf with your Pikachu? That was so much fun...

Pokemon is the ultimate time waster. It's so addictive but I also think it's fun as well, unlike Runescape.

So it's sad that a 17 year old (nearly 18) likes Pokemon. So what? It's a groovy game :)

17y? Dude I'm nearly 22 and I just bought the emerald version

Like I care, Runescape is said to be a ki's game to and look at the ighscores... First 100 players are all above 16... :D

2016 goals: all skills +30mil xp - Completed this goal 11th December 2016 smile.gif
2017 goals: get at least 3 more master capes (start xp: invention done@21st Jan, mining done@2nd April & ranged 76/104mil done@June 20th) & all skills +40mil xp (done 24th August)

Top players are ALWAYS older players. Why? Because little kids don't have what it takes. Same with xanga. All the top xangas are older folks.
