Peronix Posted January 18, 2006 Share Posted January 18, 2006 Well, the day that I posted the thread about cleaning up the fishing guild, In the previous hours I had scoured the fishing guild in an attempt to find an report, and have others report as many apparant autoers as I could. Then, that night, it was empty. Almost no autoers. The next few days, the same story; I tried four different times for all of those days. My friends have been autoing for quite a while and have been encouraging to get me to do it. I believe in a fair runescape, but every once in awhile, i check on the site they visit to get the software. I went on today and there were many topics. they said: ******** *** happened to our autoers ***** omg!!!!11one!one!!11 so i was like "whoa, what happened" so i looked into it and YES!!! THE CREATOR OF THE AUTOBOT QUIT!!! score!!! my friends were pissed today. but i'm happy, they finally have to start making their own money :P :P :P :P the autoing community self-destructed. the creator decided that he wasnt updating it anymore. so idk, but the main autoing program is gone. Most people who make the bots are much smarter then Jagex is. If I was Jagex, I'd try to hire some of those people, they are in my way the only opinion to stop most of the hackers. tewas Posted January 18, 2006 Share Posted January 18, 2006 they not too smart, yes they know what they doing and most of them are bored with regular class assigments :) and this is a field to test yourself. there is just a few persons capable to make program/bot itself, and around few hundrets who are smart enough to make script for bot. i've seen scar scrip, writen in pascal language with simple algorhytm. it's quite long but godo scripter can make one in week or so. yes i'm studying programing now and was curiuos how they are made. sadly i don't know anything about lamebot or another programs :) (not a java guy :) ) 1500+ total 89 cmb; 1600+ total and under 93 cmb. 02/04/07 reached all skills 60+ under lvl 90 cmb. 07/19/07 reached all skills 70+ at lvl 93 cmb.Prayer is good for herbs Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Sure, maybe the guy from Autobot quit but big deal... That is definitely a popular cheating program but not the most popular and by far not the most effective. And so what, the creator quit, doesn't mean that the program suddenly dropped dead. And to the ridiculous comment that the autoing/cheating community is self-destructing, give them a week and everything will be back to normal. It is true that the cheating community relies heavily on people that know how to write scripts and how to create programs and that losing the creator of Autobot is a minor glitch in the system. As pointed out earlier, SCAR is still as healthy as ever. The only time in the long history between JAGeX and cheaters where it has appeared that JAGeX has won was after the party hat creating and the mass banning that followed. All the programmers and creators of AshyRune and [ForbiddenSite] either were banned or quit. But even still Kaitnieks and a few others remained to create SCAR which is the beauty that we have today. Ironically they are all the default character, but they have different combat lvls (all generally around 10) and they have different clothes on so it seems they are a regular player. True, i'm lowlvl who just doesnt like combat, so a lvl 44 crafting deaths, catching sharks, cutting magics, times ive been called autoer, don't count em anymore. Locke_Superbus Posted January 18, 2006 Share Posted January 18, 2006 the real probelm with macroers is the fact that they can be used to farm stuff to sell for REAL money, last year the amount of money made from second hand game item sale was ÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâã300 million! theres even 'sweatshops' in china which pay locals to watch bots all day and sort any problems the bots run into ie randoms etc, and the money or items they make in game is sold on ebay etc by the company to the spoilt brats with real money to burn on the game. However, the creators need to upload that version before people can use it again. Creators may take longer some days, shorter others. That's why there aren't any autoers update day.
