Gah, I keep getting the worst worlds t make an adventurer in.. Great.

Heh... operation easy access is completed. What I did was create massive clay floored store rooms that linked down (through ramps/stairs) to various workshops. Each one of these drop shafts had tunnels that intersected the other ones to allow even easier movement of dwarfs. Naturally they are also loaded to the brim with traps (LETS SEE THE ELEPHANTS GET ME NOW). I am currently working on creating a magma flood trap (ala "Boatmurdered")

Ah fu... Wolves pushed me into a water pit, and i strangleded him, but i couldn't get out. So he starved.

I hate goblin ambushes. I defeated one squad, then my dwarves rushed outside to steal their stuff, which led to a huge massacre where my entire fortress being chased around the map. The enemy squads were finally defeated, except a siege came right after it and caught everyone outside. :angry:

 

Maybe I should've gotten my war elephant production started up sooner.

Then i get head chomped by an aligator. What the hell!

Retech another way of defending your home is to set up a labyrinth of traps (and have a row of pressure plates at the end seal the door at the entrance) that is kept open (the goblins will go in and then they will all die). The only problem is getting to the bodies (which can be solved by forbidding the door).

Which is what I was doing, except I was trying to make an elephant trap (basically my fort is in the middle, and then walls extending to the sides of the map. These have gaps every 10 tiles or so with a cage trap. I was trying to save my woodworker and mason, who were building the walls, as they were my best dwarves.

 

The goblins like waiting outside and murdering all the cats that wander out...

Retech, go to the orders menu and check the [F]orbid options. It lets you forbid enemy and friendly items upon death.

 

And Grim, those tunnels had better not be 1 tile wide, or I will prepare a tombstone for your fps. Heh.

Well adventure mode is kind of fubar at the moment. Toady crippled it so that he could make some changes and additions to it later, AFAIK.

Dobule post.. But on dwarf fortress adventure mode, i killed a cougar.. With snow. Heres what the snow did to him:

The spinning snow hits the cougar in the head! bruising the muscle and jamming the skull through the brain and tearing it! The cougar falls unconcious. The cougar is shot and killed.

I'm getting more of this uber snow.

People have killed Dragons by throwing worms.

 

And you should've thrown a Fluffy Wambler at the Bronze Colossus that strangled you.

I'm guessing it flows slightly better in norwegian. But if you want my opinion as sad songs go it's pretty good, I would have personally ended it on a slightly more optimistic note (but then again I dislike "sad songs"). Overall though it's not that bad and with some slight fine tuning it should be pretty good. May I ask if you are using an instrumental accompaniment?

I wrote it in English, which I find much easier to use in lyrics than Norwegian, I wrote it during the night (in 15 min) with no music at all. It pretty much describes my feelings this summer.

 

I might polish it, but I originally made it as a sort of hinting for my facebook status.
