n64jive
they'll just say something equally stupid like poob, or stoob, or something dumb like that...joob
imaerehw14
ban noob, they will say nob and nub, which in my oppinion are worse because of the incorrect spelling of the slang word noob. so iw ould rather have the word "noob" then nob or nub. and remember, there is the ability to turn chat off... gspbeetle
quite impossible, cause jagex is trying to restore some original banned words, such as wt4, om4g (4=f) Examine ChenGMT (level: 138)
Candymann16
noob doesnt mean anything, i just laugh at the people who call other people that, if you feel offened by the word 'noob' dont be it doesnt mean anything at all, its just a made up word so that some people think that they have power over other people, for example, call someone who is annoying you a 'fortis' and see if they laugh at you "fortis" is now and forever what you say to someone if they call you a noob!!!! lol imagine if we could get enough people to say that, that the word noob becomes obsolete. put my name on that petition! yay 1 supporter, put: Change the word 'noob' into fortis!!!!!!! into your sig if you want to become one of the first people to use this new and exciting word :D
rasochiz
thanks for that guys. as the starter of the topic i like the idea of the word "fortis" and will use excessively from now on in the hope that it catches on. Congratulations to the three comedians, especially drummer who yet again showed what a comedy genius he is, watch out ricky gervais  Ive been trying to think of some acronyms to use instead of noob, will keep u posted
blue107
so the low levels are the important half ? i dont think so? how many variation of 'noob' can you make? no0b n00b n0ob nob nooob noooob n000b the list goes on and on, that word has been censored 3 times already 485th person to ever play RuneScapeBlue107- perm banned 10/12/2007. $300 USD reward if you can get me in contact with someone who will take 5 seconds to look at evidence and get my original character unbanned. imhomer
What do you think will happen after they remove the word noob? I'll tell you, people will come up with a new word that means the exact same thing. Eventually it will catch on and it will be the same thing all over again. If it really bothers you that much you should just put people who say it on your ignore list. On another topic, remember '[bleep]'? There are about 6 different ways to spell around it: fkuc fauk fcuk ufck fuk fck people will find the same things to od for 'noob' and it will irratate people more because there will be even more regular words that people can't spell because of the censor. Give it a rest man, it's a hopeless cause.

shannon
Ban it. It is so overused. On second thought, how about Jagex have some fun and change the word to another word? (Instead of just replacing it with ****.) With each week's update, the new word would change! :) For example: Original: You are such a noob. Week 1: You are such a rabbit. Week 2. You are such a pizza. etc. ROFL brilliant. :D LOL  Miami Heat 4ever fan.Yes, i'm a girl! I like to watch NBA, so? =]]Thanks star_in_the_sky for the AMAZING sig and eckered for the great avvy!! mortoxs
There is no point in censoring the word noob Jagex doesn't really care, and so should you after all its just a game how can you go crazy over someone calling you a noob, live with it. Even if jagex censored the word noob there are many combinations n00b no0b fr00b fro0b ch00b nub chub cho0b As you can see the list just goes on. If your a high level just ignore them , they only say that to provoke you or get your attention. So far i have seen all petition attempts to add/remove something to/from runescape have failed, they only turned to spam after countless post counts. Half the time players say the word 'noob' they are just jelous of your powers, armor, weapons, ect. For example, in c warz, you hear the word 'noob' the whole game! The other half of the time people say it is just because they're idiots and have nothing better to do. By popular demand, this signature is back- however I currently do not have a blog up at the moment and if I did I wouldn't update it. Sorry, the sig links to nowhere :( .
