I'll do quests if jagex actualy starts bringing out good quests, and not ones aimed at lower level players which take 5 minutes to do and you get a rubbish award.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I think that Jagex is in the business to bring in more customers, say, customers that start the game with membership-- more than they are entertaining people that are high leveled|and/or have played the game a really long time.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Having said that, I should add that they are probably trying to expand the game to *all* levels, not just the high ones.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I do find walking around for some quests boring, but usually the storyline is amusing or engaging enough to be a nice distraction from the levelling treadmill. We didn't use to have cutscenes... and now we are getting some that look reasonably cool. "A Forgettable Tale of a Drunken Dwarf" had a nice one and I still laugh thinking about it whenever the drunken dwarf visits and mentions the 'kebab stories'. Heh, a quest that affects a random event!

some quest take like an hour and give you 2k ______ exp. in that hour i could probably get 40k ______ experiance, so why do it?

I only do quests as I see necessary.

For me, quests are the most fun thing in the game, so I do them. Actually most of them aren't so good for rewards, but they're just really fun to me.

Only quest that I didn't like was Sheep Herder. Tried to do it the day it was implented and people stole all my sheep. It took me like 5 hours to get the quest done. But at least I finished it at the first day.

i for one think rs quests r the most boring thing ever. If RS was all about questing i wouldnt play at all. The only reason I do them is because I need to get faster xp, shortcuts, or wearing something. These arent...fun...how dare you?!??

I personally think that quests are the only thing worth doing in the game (and updates) but yeah they're good. Theres some i woulden't feel sad not doing but it's all worth it in the end because having like 190+ qp is so nice for tears of guthix.

I'm a quester, I don't plan on playing much anymore for anything but the quests. Every time I start playing again I do all the quests I missed to get full quest points again.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

All quests are easy enough with a guide, but the better ones (with good puzzles and few random items required) are more enjoyable without one.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mourning's End 2 should really be done WITHOUT a guide, unless you don't know how to begin the puzzle. In my opinion it is the best quest in the game (except for the dwarf at the end, I hate him!).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

As for Desert Treasure, I finished it a day after it came out at 82 combat using my 70 magic to kill all the bosses. Easier than Monkey Madness in my opinion.

Monkey madness was really annoying.

 

 

 

Rubbish award if you ask me, i spended almost 2 days completing it.

Considering my 194qp you can assume I'm an advocate of quests... That's all the quest done btw.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

1st, I like puzzles and it's certainly a lot less boring than working on xp or getting money.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

2nd, As you stated they open up new areas and have rewards - which btw help you to work on getting xp and getting money quicker.

I myself have all quests done. Some ppl dont like quests and think theyre a waste of time. I on the other hand, like quests. Some are pointless, but its like an adventure so I make sure I do em. A lot of the newer quests have some really nice cutscenes too.

i dont do quests just for a reward. i do them for some fun! i LOVE quests, done them all (except this new one)

a major reason i noticed is majority of quests are made for newbs. and its just a waste oftime for higher level players to do them. in the time it takes a higher level player to do the quest and get the 2k-5k xp they could have gotten 20k xp training

I have done all quests except the latest one before I quit members. I dont do it for the fun of questing. I just do it for the rewards, the increased game access and the effect of the increased QP on tears of guthix (which I have religiously visited every week since it was released and is primarily responsible for my last 8 prayer levels).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I did almost all the quests after their guide came out (even if they are so easy you dont need one) just to save time on it. I leave the fun aspect of quests to those who enjoy it more than me.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Sometimes, quests have acted as my incentive to raise some skills. For example, to do lost city, I decided that I will do it only after getting 80 fletching so I could beat the spirit with a mage bow that I could make myself. For the same quest, I also decided I wanted to raise crafting so I could make my own full green d hide. Similarly for horror from the deep, I decided I had to get 66 crafting to make my own air battle staff for the fight.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

If the quest rewards are good, I try to do the quests as early as I can. Otherwise, I wait a few weeks before taking the time to do them.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Just an example of a hidden quest reward: ME part I gives you access to a much faster source of white berries than the wildy :wink: . For those who make money picking objects like flax or snape grass, you can get over 400 berries an hour which at 1k ea is easily one of the fastest money makers in the game.

Ya, I pretty much only do quests now so I can keep up with Tears Of Guthix and get some rewards.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Like the hand in the sand. I enjoyed that short little easy quest with a nice reward of 84 buckets of sand a day(Now I havve to keep up with getting seaweed), and that still lets me get free RuneCrafting experience.
