Somebody's got to clean up the mess they left behind.Jagex's auto ban system currently goes after people who auto type for the rwt sites (visit worlds 1 or 2 in the ge to see the show). There are also some pmods who pick up the slack in the system (it has on days and off days, as they introduce new methods and jagex counters). When Jagex finally decides to turn this system on the gambling auto typers as well, I think you can expect the pmods to arrive in force, just as they did when during the phase when they were given permission to attempt to take back the grand exchange. If they can get it to the point where there are no reputable clans left, and its just scamming, then maybe, just maybe, they will unshackle their ban dragon and silver army.

It's the same kind of bullshit that every argument for RWT is full of these days, "The game sucks so I should be allowed to make money off of it", with an added dose of spite and the inability to take responsibility for their own actions ("They banned me because they suck, not because I broke a rule that's been around for 11 years!") November 19, 201213 yr And how exactly are they stealing from the players when the players walk into that agreement willingly, as did Starry, Fishy, and any other banned RWTer ever did? Throwing around "RIP old runescape" and blaming jagex for what they did is the political equivalent of throwing around buzzwords like freedom and stopping terrorists to keep their approval ratings high. In this case they're using them to lessen their own blame. For the record, that shouldn't need explanation. It's kind of frustratingly disappointing that it does.
November 19, 201213 yr Author They aren't stealing from the players at all. (Although with the prices they charge for their RWT options, they might as well be) I was using theft as an example of a crime to explain why the law analogy wasn't accurate. You can insert any crime you like. Asmodean <3
November 19, 201213 yr They aren't stealing, but they are taking advantage of people who cannot control themselves otherwise and profiting off it. Profiting off the shortcomings of another human being. It's messed up. Not to mention the winnings are used to hurt the economy (hoarding items for merching) or facilitate rwt. Sort of why dueling is also looked down upon, but at least there a bit of skill comes into effect. Also, the odds are in the hosts favor anyway.
