February 6, 200620 yr My guess is you outclassed him in your melee stats all the way... seeing he did not hit you. With an even up account and them using same weapon, you'd have lost. Barrows weapons in PvP situation is not good either... In PvP you want something quick, set effect does not play much as people can compensate for it. It also looks like you fought someone who don't know much about thier set if they hardly hit you they must not be on par for attack - what was thier combat level compared to yours? You are rather high. Verac and Guth are the only armour I own... The expense of course keeps me busy but the overall stats of barrows is near double to current dragon and rune armour. I only use my Barrows weapons when neccessary - I typically use a whip, dds or scimmy along with an obby shield along with my barrows... and pull out the flail or spear under special use.

Verac's without the flail is pretty useless in the duel arena. At least it's better than any other barrows set. Verac owns Dhorak, Dhorak owns Guthan's, Guthans owns Verac's, Verac's owns torags, Torag's owns Dhorak's. From my experience that's how most fights go in the pits. Dm only.
February 8, 200620 yr I'm level 82 and i usually easily destory a level 90 with my ful torag + whip. With so many trees in the city you could see the spring coming each day until a night of warm wind would bring it suddenly in one morning. Sometimes the heavy cold rains would beat it back so that it would seem that it would never come and that you were losing a season out of your life. But you knew that there would always be the spring as you knew the river would flow again after it was frozen. When the cold rains kept on and killed the spring, it was as though a young person had died for no reason. In those days though the spring always came finally but it was frightening that it had nearly failed.
February 8, 200620 yr i beat a lvl 95 with 41hp to spare today in duel arena i had nothing extra he didnt.. we wer both equal and testing if i could beat him... was close but still barrows armour isnt undefeatable does it have a lower dodge rate or somthing? bigger chance of hitting 1-5 then 0 and a smaller chance of hitting 10-30 cuz i hit alot of 1-5's and not very many 10+ exept 1 exeption wer i hit 23 :twisted: i killed a 95 once too :roll:
February 8, 200620 yr Barrows seems to be lame in duels. When I had just bought a Torag Plate and Legs, I had a friendly duel with my friend. He had Dragon Med, Legs, Square and Scimmy with a Red Dragonhide body, I was wearing Rune Large, Torag Plate, Torag Legs, Dragon Scimmy, Rune Kite and Mith Boots. We were both the same level with near indentical stats and he trashed me, I took about 40hp damage before I even hit hit. To save myself the shame, I had to pull out my DDS (which we agreed not to use) and quickly use 4 specials just so I didn't die with him on 60hp. Dragon Armour seems to have some magical luck or something, I've never once beaten someone wearing a peice of Dragon Armour, but I've beat a few Barrows wearers.

For example i fought a rl mate, we both had same equip, he had slightly better melee stats, and he super setted while i was natural (which puts him higher than the natural stats of a lvl 126 by quite a few levels), and i still won lol - alot of luck involved in dueling 118+ combat1730+ total85 slayer95 mage94 range

February 8, 200620 yr You guys want a fair fight to test out barrows armor? go to castle wars. I (level 90 then) was able to take down level 100+s with my torag, whip, and d sq. Now, I'm not saying they didn't have fewer bandages, or that they had more than me, but I know I killed a few level 100s that were wearing rune and an obby shield. I'm not saying that "this is 100% clear statistical proof that barrows owns" but still... it goes to say that if you have barrows, and a whip, and fairly close stats, you should win the fight. This again is without the set specials.

Hmm, seeing all these posts about rune/draogn armour owning Barrows armour, I have a suspicion that Jagex kept dragon superior to Barrows armour in 1-on-1.
February 12, 200620 yr Author :roll: 1st.. lvl 91 kicked his bum, he finished by saying "i hate abbysal whips" 2nd.. lvl 95 was very very close 1hp left each doesnt look very good to me.. especially seing as im only 70 attack 77 strength 70 defence 72 hits
February 12, 200620 yr I killed a lvl 94 in full veracs, i was 84 combat with full rune and d scim and dds. I was waiting a friend at duel arena and was dueling for fun,this guy asked me to figth and i killed him...no idea what happened... Anyway he asked for revenge and he 3 hitted me :lol:

February 12, 200620 yr I was able to beat my lvl 106 friend who wore exact same things as me, but torahs, bererker ring, and berserker helm instead. The reason I won, are because my stats are slightly different. Also, my prayer effects last longer :lol:
