Mine was awsome! Gave my G/f her present, and we spent all lunch together. And I took her to the movies, to see the Pink Panther (which is an awsome movie, BTW). A lovely first date to me.

Happy Arizona Statehood Anniversary!

We both have last block together. After school was out we went over to my house for about an hour or so. We then grabbed some Sonic and exchanged gifts. I got her this expensive bottle of perfume crap (she asked for it) and she got me a digital camera. That was about it!

Valentines day is just another day for me, always has been. Only thing different is alot of girls (and some guys) walk around with obnoxiously huge balloons and bears. (if my girlfriend gave me a huge wagon balloon or something in school I would be mad, who wants to lug that around all day?)

Valentines day is perhaps the only day where I like being single.

 

 

 

The over commercialized BS that happens is just sad.

...and the fact that it landed on a Tuesday made it not as fun as it usually is. So I bought my girlfriend some chocolate, flowers and a stuffed animal and we both agreed that we'd go out for dinner and whatever on Friday night. Also our anniversary was on the 12th so Friday'll be a double celebration date. :D

Guys,my tip to you is giver her gifts on Valentines Day,then spent the day/time with her the next day just to prove you love her? :oops:

Just about noone at my school's even heard of xanga, myspace is the thing here (ridiculous, myarea is censored and xanga isn't? what's the difference?!).

Lol NO-ONE takes v-day seriously here. Infact, such is the disbelief that i asked my male friend to be my valentine (he said yes!! :D ) sooo happy..

Probably because myspace's level of personal information they ask about you - and most people readily show in their profile, explains it all.

 

 

 

And Xanga is basically just another blogging community. Almost bare minimum detials and a blog. Not much else.

Xanga used to be "the thing", but then myspace got more popular. Xanga is more of a blog community, where people write. MySpace is a popularity contest.

Valentines day is perhaps the only day where I like being single.

18 years of my life, never a valentine *sigh* ill aim for 19 next year :(

I never had a Valentine. So I was complaining about that on another (Dutch) forum, and there was a girl who thought that was sad for me. So she suggested to send eachother a card. We made our own cards and we had a good laugh. :P

@Arcticrunite: Out of all the chicks I've dated, only once have I ever had a SO when valentines day has come about. Twice actually. One doesn't matter much since neither of us were much into it. But the other, blah.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I generally give my SO random stuff and whatnot throughout the year just because. That usually works, and when / if, valentines day comes about, they're usually quite satisfied with just being together on the day - and nothing overly extravogant. But, the second chick, she almost dumped me because i didn't do anything extravogant with her that day :roll: It drove me nuts, it's just another bloody day ffs. And, as i've always said before, it's just a commercialized "holiday" to get suckers into forking out lots for things should should do normally.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Man was I cut. I dont' think she ever forgave me for that, but whatever. If being pampered because it's a commercialized holdiays makes her feel better, good for her. IMO it's just being shallow if that's the only time you do it. It's like you're obligated to do it, just sucks. Preaty much what I exactly wanted to say. I hate hearing all the girls and guys with boy/girlfriends talking about how they "need" to get them something. Notice "need" not want to. It seems like valentines day is more of that chore, gotta get them a gift because it's that day :/.

My boyfriend got me chocolate and he took me out to eat after school. ^_^ It was the best Valentine's Day I've ever had! ^_^

I sent this guy I know a "Valogram" (for $20, groups of choir students sing 2 songs and give the recipient a rose and a balloon), then after he got it he gave the really pretty rose to some other girl.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

It looked as though a lot of the freshmen girls bought themselves a big stuffed animal/flowers and paraded around with them to make it look as though they weren't excluded. One of my friends (not a guy :() gave me a rose, but I put it in my locker because why would I want to carry it around all day?

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

It's like a competition here for the girls to see who gets the most expensive gift or something from their guy friends, it's sick.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Though I do think getting a rose or some candy or even a little 32-in-a-box card is sweet.

...Wasn't allowed to celebrate valentines day (not that a I care), im in Kuwait, because the Amir (leader) sadly died. And this year's Valentine's Day went with him.

It sucked, not going to say anything more about it :cry:

1) Sat 11th - My friend (Pleb) is a sneaky git and asks the girl (Rosie) i like out to the cinema, then he decides he doesnt have any money to take her out so nothing happens and everyone stays in being lonely. This girl has now gone back to cardiff so the time has past now to ask her out :cry:

 

 

 

2) Tues 14th - Was supposed to be meeting my friend (Lisa) and her sister (Rox) for a meal where i was planning on getting this girls number that Rox knows. Rox then decides at the last minute she cant go to lisas so we just end up spending the evening watching tv and eating the quiche she made.. and before you ask shes not only my bestest friend ever but shes also engaged so id never try it on with her. lol

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

So yeah, pretty crappy luck with girls this month.
