I had 22mil bxp to start, 18mil was dg xp it only converts for 1187 credits, I turned in the other 4 mil bxp and got 1800 credits, put those all into dg, now have 1234 credits worth of dg bxp at 20 mill. So 2 mil bxp turns into 40 credits at that amount. What a joke.

I can understand cleaning it up if there was foul language or inappropriate content, but to edit a post just because you view it as "messy"? Seems to overstep the bounds of what a moderator should do if I'm honest.

Because making a post legible is such a gross abuse of power. Right.

 

This week doesn't interest me, but I'm not bothered. We'll soon hit the "summer" month range which is when they'll push out the good stuff.

 

E: Wait I just remembered that I am bothered about how absolutely stupid the exp cashin penalties are, the fact that vic's function was gimped when it was already gimped to begin with, the fact that they have the temerity to act like "oh we're putting shbs on minigame months we're so invested in our players" while other TH rewards would be "too damaging" in an uncontrolled market what, and many other things. Bite me, Jagex. I want to love your game. I want to put funds towards your game. Yet you consistently make piece of shit after piece of shit decision with a smile on your face.

Finally have one ethereal outfit, at least (blood), so glad I was able to get that. Also got Serpentine Wand for shits and giggles, not bad. That's really all I wanted. I did consider camping Barb Assault for FM experience, and then converting it to some other skill, but not with these rates, lol. Glad I don't have to do anymore Barb Assault, if the rates were reasonable, it would have been too tempting to ignore doing.

Got 1065 tokens, my feelings echo others' here. I COULD buy one piece of the Ethereal and have 5 total pieces for a set, but what's the point? I'm 99 Runecrafting.

Seeing how I only have a single Golem piece, that's even further away from a set. I honestly could not give a [bleep] less about Golem unless I could get the beautiful color-changing combined set, and obviously that won't happen l0l

Have to say TY JaGEx for including RIT though, that was a surprise and I might actually get those, unless someone can tell me a real benefit to getting an Ethereal set?

Also is there a roster of value for the BXP of different skills? I'm wondering which ones I should prioritize in what order... lol

Well, I must say I'm incredibly more grateful for Vic now.

I'd been planning on buying a 200 TH Keys package for a little while now, just waiting until there was no promotion so that I could get enough Rare Item Tokens for the Golden Cane for the outfit in my current signature.

I'd assumed - even fatally, you could say - that the Tokens would be relatively common. However, despite freezing 9 categories on every chest (lots of Frozen Heart Tokens from forever ago), I got one (1) Token chest out of all of those, for an amount around 500.

To be frank, I'm never too keen on dropping that kind of irl cash on this kind of stuff, and I probably would have been fairly disappointed to have spent that much for so little progress towards what I actually wanted.

However, thanks to Vic, I was able to basically convert the sheer amount of BXP I received from Fallen Stars into enough Tokens for the Cane (with a little supplement from Agoroth, lol).

 

I dunno if anyone else on these forums really cares about TH cosmetics, but it would seem this is probably the only [somewhat] feasible way of getting those Rare Item Tokens without spending far, far more than I did, or waiting for a specific TH promotion.

you can store a lot of crap in the tackle box (including raw fish), so this isn't gonna happen

 

on the other hand, there's zero reason to restrict machetes

4/15 golem pieces from saving up all bxp since last vic... Whats the hourly points looking like for barb/heist farming.

I think including rare item tokens was one of the things they did right with Vic.

 

I'm not buying them, because I don't care a whit for cosmetics, but I know that many others care about them a great deal, so it's nice to see them have a way of earning those rewards other than "buy more keys". (Especially since the tokens are so very, very rare.)

 

Now if only they hadn't borked the exchange rates all to heck and people could actually reasonably obtain the golem/ethereal outfit pieces...

If the chainsaw works as it is intented (100 charges per a recharge it stats in the article) that's 100 chops @ crystal trees for double xp, 40k xp from 1 item? I hope these are rare as hell, I guess on the plus side it's encouraging people to actually train the skills rather than just gift xp.

I'm almost certain that these were initially part of Invention, yep. Definitely got changed around for the promo, but that's where the idea started, for sure.

They admitted a few of the items released on TH would be used for inventing somewhere. I know Protean was a concept for inventing as well as portables. I just wonder what will happen now, do these concepts get scraped for inventing, do they get some with some kind of lesser bonus than the paid versions?

They have said that there's at least some Inventor stuff that they'll release as high-level content across a couple different skills at some point; it hasn't all been cannibalized by TH.
