I've seen lots of people here defend luring, saying that if you go into the wild you should expect to die. I've always thought that explanation was shortsighted, but couldn't really point to anything that made luring reportable.

So, tip.it - don't support these scammers anymore. Report them. Jagex needs to make this explicit. Anyone who continues to support luring supports scammers, and we all know how long those people last here at tip.it.

i never supported it, i just said you should think to yourself, why is this person wanting to trade in level 5 wild? i just say use common sense and you should be fine.

I've not supported it. However i feel no sympathy for those that lose things this way. In my opinion luring is not scamming. If someone goes into the wild with their items, they should expect to lose them.

normal wildy luring is fine, I have a query saying so. Its the luring where you trade with someone near edgeville bank etc and lure them to the wildy thats wrong.

yes, the CS team has again confused what you are talking about. I don't like lures, and i think they are noob, but having your clan pop up on someone following you is no way a scam, though it is noob and dishonest.

CS has mixed you up with luring people into trade scams. Not wildy scams, CS picks the keyword and sends an pretyped messaged to you, it's one of their many ways to cut down the amount of work.

I mean edgeville trade scams, not "drop 4 d long" scams. I don't go into the wild, so no one has scammed me. I guess I didn't make that clear.

Trade scams are always reportable if being lured or not.

I don't think anyone actually supports lurers, we just refuse to feel sympahty for the idiots that fall for it.

 

 

 

I have used this analogy a few times now, and no one has pointed out any flaws in it so far (if you see any, please do):

 

 

 

Let's say you are walking down a busy street in a big city. Someone walks up to you and offers to sell you something (A paper hat, or possibly a Rolex, whatever you are in to). However, he says instead of trading you here, he would rather go back a dark empty alley to make the transaction. Now, if you would follow him back the ally, would you honestly expect him to not try and mug you? This is pretty much the same thing lurers are doing.

I know which planet i'm on but your planet must really suck, seeing as you can't spell every second word right there must be no education.

 

 

 

anyway, people that lure should get banned, it may or may not be illegal by jagex, but it's definetly walking on the line between illegal and legal.

 

just don't do it, it's for people that can't pk and are too stupid to make their own money.

Anyway, i was stupid enough to lure with a friend once. the money i made feels like blood money. Tricking out of someone for gp ain't what you wanna do. anyone with morals at all would understand that lieing and cheating have no place in runescape, or business at all.

Lures who lure people with rare sales are a bunch of scum and need to lie to get personal gain off someone else's hardwork. That in my opinion is the lowest of the lowes.

 

 

 

For example the monestry trick or the Oziach thing were they say they are buying rune plates trick is also pathetic. It happens all the time while selling rares and it is getting way out of hand. :x

Maybe that happend because your a bad pker, most people like to pk and it could be very profitable. Most of the people on tip.it dont support luring, and I think luring is stupid.

what is luring?

its whenever you get someone to go into the wild without them knowing you are going to kill them. EX: if someone says buying phat meet at oziachs then whenever the seller goes there they kill him/her and take the phat without paying
