i was walking in to the wilderness north of edgeville i had no food, full prayer,

rune body, rune legs, granite sheild, d long, i thought if i need to i can do protect extra item. So i head in and i get ambushed by a level 68 strength pure(assuming that since he had a whip). Well he was skulled and i was beating him badley i was like yes! im gonna get a whip! but then i get a 17 hit and at that point accounting to previous hits i was down to 2 hp, so then i rush to my prayer screen and turn on protect extra item. Then he kills me, im like ok. i end up in fally then look at my inventory and everything was gone. im so angry considering i have only 5k, i reported it to jagex, but im still angry. just thought u guys should know.

You can't ever find a place that's nice and peaceful, because there isn't any. You may think there is, but once you get there, when you're not looking, somebody'll sneak up and write "(bleep) you" right under your nose. Try it sometime. I think, even, if I ever die, and they stick me in a cemetery, and I have a tombstone and all, it'll say "Holden Caulfield" on it, and then what year I was born and what year I died, and then right under that it'll say "(bleep) you."

First of all, there's a "Rants" forum.

Secondly, it's not a bug. I don't believe anyone else has experienced this, and I'm not sure if you're being truthful without evidence.

Goodluck getting your stuff back, if this is true.

You had to of been in the multicombat a little northeast of edgeville with another person attacking you and you had auto on to skull...this would explain everything since it takes 1 round of combat for all prayers turned on to work.

Do you even know how the "glitch" worked? No... didn't think so.

The game "saves" the past X people which attacked you, X probably is about 5.

So when you got attacked in mutli by lots of people, the list is constantly being changed, so if you attack back the chances of you skulling is pretty high.

But Jagex fixed this, probably by Increasing the number of X. It wasn't even a glitch, just bad programming.

How are you so sure it's programmed like that, you haven't seen the source. And I think you presume thats right because someone else said it on DI forums? Can't conclude things if you have no evidence whatsoever.

That's a shame, that is why I never go into the wildy with gear that I use to level with, or some of the more expensive pieces.

Are you sure you weren't skulled somehow?

You don't need the source of a program to figure out how it works.

Look at WINE.

All programming and speculation arguments aside.....

Bottom line:

The auto-skull bug is fixed. Enjoy your 3-item safety.

no bug you just put on item protect while you were dropping so nothing happens just the same if you try to switch on a pray when you tele it lights up for less then a sec and goes back off.

plus its not jagex fault you lost a whip , you risked it into the wild so dont whine...

meh my fault then still pretty early here i just read the key words "whip" "losing stuff" "complaining about losing stuff" "reporting a false bug in hope to get stuff back"

so my apologies then for misreading it a bit.

It's a bug....he must have hit you before you turn on the prayer which means you already died when you turn the prayer on.

So, the games gets confused and you loose everything.

I am not so sure, but I know once I wasn't skulled and I went n00b pking. I turned on protect prayer when I died and I still lost eveything. Can someone test it out?

Turn on the protect item once you are 0 hp and see whether you loose anything

Because I asked a Mod ingame? He told me what the "bug" was and why it was occuring.
