Then again, if everyone cancelled their members, they wouldn't need a large development team and costumer support etc anymore. What would happen... You would all have to try to log into one of the full 2000 player free to play servers and all but one pay to play server would be shut down. April 9, 200620 yr i dont think runescape would close down.. i think it would just get rid of its member worlds... and the ads on the website will earn them money for the free worlds like it is right now... but then they might still have money problems...
April 10, 200620 yr It would never happen, there will always be atleast a few people willing to pay for members. I payed even when I quit for 2 months. Like a few people have said, they would have to change their business model to earn 100% of their income from ads, they already do it on the f2p servers and a lot of other games do this. It would be possible that you would find yourself mining "Coca-Cola ores" and fletching "Smiley Central bows" though lol :shock: They could still crash and burn but i think they would get a few months in before.
