I've been meaning to go to Livid and Big Day Out for so long but I always forget about it / don't have enough money :x

in the last year only end of fashion. they had some accoustic performance and a signing so i got a chance to talk to them for a bit.

 

if i can scrape up the cash ill definatly do homebake, big day out (if the line up is good) and falls fest as i missed all of those things this year (for those outside of aus who dont know, there pretty big music festivals). oddly enough i cant really think of any bands i like enough to go see this year. i spose a 'lack of cash' element comes in somewhere aswell

I've seen a few real bands, but whenever I go to the Mathews Street Festival, there's always an abundancy of cool tribute bands. Last year I saw Coldplace, Pirate Radiohead, Jean Genie (David Bowie tribute), Definately Might be (Oasis tribute) and Rockafella Skunk (Fatboy Slim tribute).

i saw Queen and Paul Rodgers a couple months back, they were spectacular; and i saw Styx and Kansas *together! :)* august of last year. Both concerts were simply amazing.

I recently saw The Rolling Stones.

I've seen Jack Johnson, Modest Mouse, Matisyahu, Death Cab for Cutie, and Franz Ferdinand, as well as their respective opening acts. Of course when you say live I mean in concert.

 

 

 

This summer I've budgeted in a bit of travelling and tickets to see some concerts of bands I like within a day's driving distance.

 

 

 

So far only a Dave Matthews Band concert is planned at the end of summer, but more to come as soon as summer tour dates are released.

This is only a small amount and certainly doesnt include the countless unsigned bands ive seen locally.

I was dissapointed at Pearl Jam's show, they didnt play Yellow Ledbetter and Last kiss. :sad:

it was awesome, he pretty much played his entire greatest hits cd and half of the rest of his catalog. It was incredible despite the fact that i was surrounded by pot smoking hippies ^_^
