hazardmaster
I was at barbarian bar training my pure (Usually world 109, come see me!) when I saw a level 28 in full iron getting piled by barbarians. These two lvel 30-or so pures kept closing the door so he couldn't escape. Now, I believe evrybody should think that's really low. I helped him kill off the barbarians. It's really sad what people will do for a few hundred gp. So yeah, what's your opinion on this?
RedHanyu888
Looting people is fun and rewarding. A guy died at the tzhaar caves and he dropped a Red mask, which i sold for 18m (dunno why the guy bought it for 18 m :? )
Noctis
Looting the dead is ok. Causing them to die by closing the door on them is not. I've been at the Blue Dragon in Hero's when people come to try fighting it without an anti-drag shield or anti-fire pot plenty of times. I've always let them leave when they realized they were gonna get pwned.
Y2g2003
My opinion is slightly split on the subject... If someone dies at a place they probably shouldn't be... Yeah I would take the stuff and keep it. Call me greedy... but I feel if someone (a low level mind you) is using a crummy Halberd on a Black Demon... chances are they know they shouldn't be there to begin with. Same rule applies if someone is being a pest, stealing kills, talking trash, and so on. Now... the part I don't agree with is people coming to these forums bragging about it. And I don't agree with people literally trying to get someone to die. If they die out of their own stupidity... thats a different story. If they die with help... thats weak. Thats my take. Others will babble on about honor and karma. I go on common sense. And as long as you don't rub the loot in the person's face... karma shouldn't even apply (for those of you probably chomping at the bit to quote me there). Yeah i agree with that, though i do sometimes give the items back anyways, if the person comes back up to where they died. Pier pressure? I can just see you being threatened by a wharf or jetty because you're a teleporter. Yes, I can see a large wooden wharf uprooting itself from the shore, walking over to you and slapping you in the back of the head for teleporting.

Causing them to die by closing the door on them is not. i've never actually had someone die and me take they're stuff, and gotten their name, in that situation i don't know what i'd do untill it actually happened to me, i think i'd give most back, but you really never know... -= weasel =- rsname: moosewalker ~ top 10000 player :Dfull qp - always willing to chat add me... SAGE
If somebody dies you would be quite ignorant not to pick up free stuff on the ground before it just disappears. Personally I give items back if I can contact the person but purposely trying to kill someone due to locking them in or make it unable for the player to escape is plain wrong and unnaceptable in my eyes. Although people go to any extremity aswell these days to ruin the game for someone else to get a few pixels.
slayercool66
If anybody dies around me I always add them or wait for them to come back so I can give back the stuff. But if a person is acting like a total jerk, then dies. I wont even consider giving his stuff back  I'ts called karma. RIP The Old Nite ='(
fx1970
Once, somebody gave me back my ammy of glory when i died at fally (poisonned). I found him back and he directly proposed to give me abck the ammy. To thanks him I gave him a black mystic bottom :) My cb is 122 and slayer 92, so it was not for the amount of money but for the gesture.
LadyDragon
I never prevent someone from running off if they're in danger of dying, I come and join in their fight to help if I can. Most of the time, they're level 60-70 players and I told him/her to get away, so I can finish the monster for them. If I cannot attack it directly, of course. RAHK
If they were any of the following I keep the loot: a jerk rude incredibly stupid or anything like that to me or others I also keep the loot if I didn't catch their name and they don't return. Otherwise I ALWAYS return ALL of their loot. I once returned 8k c balls when I had less than 2mil to my name (yes I knew their value). I have noticed that anytime this happens I get good luck at barrows. :D I don't do it because I feel like it's required but it is always nice to have a pleasant suprise in one of your darkest moments (in-game of course). I always treat people the way that I would want and expect to be treated for the actions that I choose. Zimbe
It's all good unless you lie to the guy to get him killed. It is a game, if you can make some one die and it benefits you (with out lying) it is ok. For example closing that door, its fine, it is a game. But when you for example say "go down there to mine rune ore" and quide some one black dragon cave or something alonge those lines its scamming. captianant
my policy is that if: A- If I tried to help them, and they died I will return their stuff B- If I tried to help them, and they refused my help and they die, I'll keep something (never the most valuable) and give the rest back. C- If someone unexpectantly dies and I catch their name, *POOF* all their stuff is theirs again D- If someone unexpectantly dies and I don't catch their name, I just got a nice present :) Sodb ForumStop thinking. crossfire39
Well I have a missed feeling about this. Trying to get a person killed the way they were doing it (closing doors so he couldn't get away) is screwed up. When people die while afk, I do pick up their stuff, but sometimes I am nice enough to give back one or two things. At wars, looting is not really looked upon, but I do go on noobs to get the scimmies and larges that people drop. .:: RSC Product ::..:: 116 Combat ::..:: 1777 Overall ::..:: Biggest Single Drop Log Ever ::. Razoid
if i see someone die i always try and catch there name so i can return there stuff, but it is ok to loot players but closing doors so people cant get away from things is very sad. but i dont flame or say anything rude to the people that do it because i know karma will catch up with them in the end 8) Got Xbox Live? kingbd
IF, and this is a big If, at the moment (when im poor and nooby and need a whip) And someone dies with somethings quite expensive, (example, someones skulled and accidentally goes into blue drag cage (I stand in inside so can't close door)so they drop whip, zerker, full rune, glory, dds, some other stuff, i get a 3 mil pressie in my bank) But this is only until im not poor. BUT, again if someone died with blue phat and i get i would have a money tree in my bank...(never gonna happen)
kdb148
If someone dies near me, I try to take as much stuff as I can. I'm not going to go looking for them, but if they contact me or come back to where they died and ask for their stuff back, I'll give most of it back, keeping what I like to call a "death tax" for myself - usually some of their cash or runes, or a piece of their armor. I'll usually stand around where they died for a few minutes and wait for them to show up. Check out this cool browser gladiator game!

I always treat people the way that I would want and expect to be treated for the actions that I choose. Same thing happened to me. I was ranging blue drags in Gu'tanoth and accudentally stole some1s drag. They got really pissed at me and I said "srry u can have next 1". They said you friggin d***** bag!!! And so he went on calling me really gross and rude names. Then, I get a text in my friends from the dude saying: "omg omg omg I got killed by a blue drags can you get my stuff???". and so I said sure why not and went over to where he died and WTF! a whip was just lying there and I'm kicking myself for promising to return ALL of his stuff. So I return the whip and decide to go do some barrows (I'm to ADD to stick to one skill for long lol) so I go to barrows and... Got Guthans helm from the chest!!! I was like whoa, Karma rules. (Sold and bought a whip) So, in the end I got a whip anyways and helped out a player. Now thats what I call a win-win situation. Karma rules!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BTW. I think closing a door on a helpless newb is friggin [developmentally delayed]ed and extremly low and dirty. kkthnxbye   I have all the 99s, and have been playing since 2001. Meta_Sabre
If they die it's thier fault no matter the occasions there are so many ways to avoid dying now-a-days. It's your fault if your not prepared to escape a deadly situation. I keep the items, as for if it was a lvl 28 or what ever he was. The armor he had was probably easy enough to replace. He should also train somewhere else.
SLR
Most of the time i see newbs die (dropping bronze and iron stuff), but if a higher level dies and they dropped good stuff i would take it. That is why it is called dying, you lose all your stuff. Im against it when people try getting others killed... It happened to me when i was telegrabbing zammy wines, some noobs at the door shutting me in when i accidently tried to pick up the zammy wine instead od telegrabbing it. I barely made it out alive ( i was wearing mage stuff and had like 1k laws)...he really annoyed me so i worldjumped.
Triquos
0ne time i was hallying black demons (back when i was level 88) and some mage started dissing my stats and talking trash about me. I minded my own business, but he just kept talking trash. I used drag b spec to get higher strength, but it took a while that by the time i got to attack the black demon again, the mage had taken over for me. He laughed and snickered as i was there, shocked, wondering what i had ever done to him. And then karma kicked in. Just as he finished typing he attempted to go back to the safe spot. He was off by 1 square, and he went away from keyboard, as he wasn't hitting back or running from the black demon. So anyways he's getting hit 16's and stuff, and 1 more hit he was going to die. He comes back, as he finally moves to the safe spot. But, the last blow got him. Down he went.. I took most of his runes and robes, no sympathy whatsoever for him. His friend was beside him, he didn't notice. I told him that that is what happens when you diss me and my stats, it comes back to haunt =D now if the mage hadn't been so uptight about me just being there, I would have happily given his stuff back. I have no sympathy for people who laugh, snicker and diss people, to die, and then expect their belongings back.
Tim
if they unfairly die, than its wrong but if they died and knew what the risks were, like the tazzar one, then their fault. i hate body rumagers who watch ppl die or make them die and rob them.it all depends on the sitiuation, i could argue with many and agree with many as well. to hard to choose Popoto.~<
