Muidumees699
NO way.I have earned like 2 mill as f2p woodcuter.Better make there some hard quest what can complete like lvl 80 or higher. And with hard skills like crafting 30 and rc 40. 98% Of teenagers surround their minds with rap music, if you're part of the 2% that stayed with rock, put this in your signature, ROCK IS BETTER! Z_E_R_O_I_Q
I say... This goes in "Suggestions". Wrong topic yet again... Go general P2P! I think this is a bad idea, because then the yew prices on p2p servers would skyrocket to at least 375gp. This may not seem like much, but the economy of P2P depends on F2P's willingness to supply. I'd say about 70% of all yews come from F2P servers. We can't let that drop... Not at all. I think instead of ruining the game they should just change the color scheme. They need to fix the autoing problem, because it is an exploited part of the game that needs to be fixed. Delaying fixing this will just lead to complete outrage from the P2P people. And besides, if the yews stop, then the autoers will just turn to another source of income, like lobsters. Soon F2P skills will become worthless. Jagex can't completely kill F2P unless they come out and say it. Besides, who would buy yews they could only burn? Oh thats right, NOBODY. All the F2Pers who worked hard to get their woodcutting would get completely slapped by this update. Have some remorse for people who can't pay 5$ for a game. You don't ahve to completely kill the community. Besides, there's already a sticky for this and a "suggestions" board. ywes won't go more than 300 ea. because 99% of them are alched and alchign price is 768 gp. yew 300 + nat 300 + flax 150 = 750. because all this economy people are willging to buy yews gettign fletchign and mage lvl up at same price. Hint: yews used to be 600 each & natures 500 each in RSC, do you want to say they weren't used for fletching & alching in RSC? Thieving is another skill that simply unlocks things for you
yurpsie
yew 300 nat 300 flax 150 macros trying to ruin our game...priceless. there are sum things money cant buy, but for anything else there is gp. You took that from the mastercard advertisement didn't you? Norpographic-X
simplier answer. Non possible trades between f2p and p2p..... hmmmmm, that would not be a beneficial solution as not only are you hurting f2p, but you are also hurting p2p players who benefit from trading with f2p players because prices on f2p are cheaper. I believe that if it was required that a decently difficult f2p quest was made, that once completed would give you access to the most profitable yew spots in f2p (varrock castle and edgeville), that would at least put a dent in the autoers if the quest had skill requirements, therefore they would actually have to spend time leveling a char just to macro it, which would be a complete waste of time. TeeBeaun
Its not about hurting anyone, its about all the threads dealing with autoers and a possible solution to it (BTW this is not supposed to be in suggestions it's a discussion not a suggestion). In reality i dont care if they completely divide p2p and f2p, it makes sence if you think about it, the two different types of players have just been spoiled in being able to trade with one another, driving prices down because of the massive amount of yews on the market. But i agree with the idea that yews wouldnt go much over 280-300 each, because of the fact that there is fletching and high alching, this keeps the price people are willing to pay down. and the price people are willing to pay is really what drives supply and demand. daver
Let me know if this is dumb, but with the advent of the new pure essence and normal essence, couldnt jagex just make yews cut in F2P "fire yews" and yews in p2p regural yews that can be used for both firemaking and fletching. This would help to solve the same issue that they made the pure essence for. F2p would still have the use for the yews they cut and p2p still has theirs. Ofcourse this is yet another division between the economies of the f2p and the p2p worlds, a complaint from the essence change. But in the end it may deture some macroing because of the drop in demand for F2P yews. omg i think that is actually a good idea. ftp has no use for yews except for firemaking. ALl they would have to do is change the script so that they click on the tree to set the color each time they come back from bank/tree goes away. WOuldnt be all that hard to do. Makoto_the_Phoenix
So, the majority of you are willing to grab a shoe to kill an annoying gnat on your loved one's forehead. Sure, you kill the gnat, but leave a nasty gash on the aforementioned's forehead... I don't agree with dividing up Yew trees. Although it may be in the best interests of the game, it could potentially ruin things such as skill pures on freeplay (not that I've heard of any, but you never know), or those that lost members for a while and they've nothing else to do but cut Yews (happened to me before). Add skill requirements for yews.. Need Addy or Rune axe to cut. Requirements for addy axe 30 ATT and rune 40 att. (Sorry skill pures ) They will make the changes to help the majority of us and might pi$$ of some of the minority. Auto'ers are here to stay! The game will morph around them and they will just adapt. Aprz
Fire yews are a good idea. I have two reasons to say why: 1)F2P RuneScape is basicly a demo version of P2P RuneScape. You don't get to experience the full benifit of the game and that does include money wise too. It is like at a store and you can test the food, but you can't just take a whole bucket of it back home without paying. The autoers will still move on. I personally think that Jagex should make it so the only few ways to making money as a F2P is merchanting, combat, and then getting bulks of materials. 2)Gamers must learn to take the game how it comes. Zezima: I don̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t know. It̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s a game, I take it as it comes :P Quote taken from Tip.it Times! (around lvl 45) or a gate where you need etleast 40+ in all non cb skill to enter or 60+ cb... but then all autoers are cutting willows... and your idee is bad becuz the p2p yews are going up fast... dont make f2p stuff not usefull for p2p... just make a hard to slove anti macro thing... thats it... and 90% of all autoers are getting member after 75 wcing if they arnt banned jet... ^^ click my sig for my lesser ranging guide ^^jwrm22: 4816th > 99 cooking 100% f2p !1172 total! + 140mil in items.i dont play anymore... i think rs is ruined
Bloodveld
Personally, I'm thinking of making my only 99 skill a worthless one (AKA firemaking ) so I wouldn't mind if f2p yews dropped to 100- ea. So basicially, I'm all for it. I'm George Bush and I support this message!!1 Buuuuut...(I have to throw this out there) this idea isn't new, quite a few people (myself included) have already thought of this when the pure ess crap came out. :^_^: I drew that smilie, btw, along with a few more used by this site.Classic bloodveld for lyph3! Kill_Life
My idea is simple: Special Axe! It's a special axe to cut Yews with, or Magic Trees. You can only cut with it when wielded, and it requires ?100? Combat (I'm 86 ftm). This way, they have to train till 100 for macro'ing => impoosible for them (but not for mains). Same can be done with pickaxe and ess... I've just been alching a lot, and I get my yews 250-265 gp each, Nats still 300, and Flax 90-100, Bowstrings anywhere from like 150-180 each. So yeah, currently with alching you'll do a bit better than break even.

dorkvader
this would ruin all those f2p woodcutters! even though im a member i say no! Yes, but at the moment it appears that F2p's going to go down anyways thanks to all the Macroers. I personally think this is a pretty good idea, Yews could still be used, but wiould have extremely limited usefulness, which is exactly what Jadex did to solve the Essence problem. I support :D . (sorry F2p, but it really seems that you're not going to be around for much longer) yeah i stopped wcing because of them. if they would stop then i would get some for the money. i hate macroers it would ruin me! although i would get a sweet firemaking level... I really don't think anything that requires another stat is a good idea. It ruins it for level 3's like zzzamorak, and anyone who just has an affinity for WC or rune essence mining. kdb148
Jagex can't base a decision on gameplay on how a few skill pures might feel as a result. I mean really, if your argument against a combat skill requirement is that it might piss off some people who did a useless thing like level skills up high without getting any combat levels, it's not very convincing. Check out this cool browser gladiator game!
