June 11, 200620 yr People keep mentioning Children Of Bodom as Death Metal. They are Power Metal with harsh vocals; Alexi doesn't even growl and if you took away the vocals, the intrumentals are more Power Metal. Anyways, check out Enslavement of Beauty, as Azvy suggested; they are not very well known, and they're awesome as hell. They're Melodic Black Metal.

June 17, 200620 yr Dark Funeral ( im pretty sure thats what they are called ) is a Death Metal. I don't like them those as I have no idea what they are saying and tbh I think their music is abit OTT. Slayer are good. Killer riffs and just raw power in their songs. Killing Fields and War Emsamble (sp) are awesome and then there is the legendary Raining Blood. Pure Genious.

July 9, 200620 yr CoF isn't death metal, is some kind of melodic black. Try Dark Funeral, Bathory, Mayhem, Emperor and Burzum. I don't like Burzum so much, it has only few good songs like War and Det Som En Gang Var.
