Death / Thrash / Origional Metal Bands

Featured Replies

As previously stated I'm not really into Metal, and I don't really know much about the bands. But a few months ago I discovered* the band CROWBAR, and I thought they were pretty good, so, you should listen to them.

*I'm most likely not the first who knows them, as they are around pretty long now, but that was when I first heard of them. :)

Lifesblood for the Downtrodden is a great album

Morbid Angel is definately the best out of those bands.

123 Combat / 1900 Skill Total / 99 HP / 7x 99 Stats

Morbid Angel is definately the best out of those bands.

Morbid Angel are terrible. They have the worst guitar tone i've ever heard. Their sound is reminiscent of a Squire Strat through a 15watt bedroom amp

Also, a great melodic death metal band, who got screwed by their record label released all of their music for free.

Demilich

I just finished downloading a lot of bands... Oh well, let me list them...

Try Hibria, Tarantula, Killer, Persuader, Cans (Joacim Cans' (Hammerfall) solo project). I guess you've heard Stratovarius' stuff but I'll mention them as well.

They're pretty well known, but my favorite Power metal band is

Dragonforce

My favorite symphonic band is

Symphony X

Anyways, Six Feet Under, which I just began to check out because it's got Cannibal Corpse's old vocalist Chris Barnes. It's pretty good. I just got Graveyard Classics 1 which is a great collection of covers. Graveyard Classics 2 is a cover of the whole "Back in Black" album by ACDC. Hoping to get my hands on that.

o_O This thread's kinda old but erm.. Some of the [cabbage] you posted was horrible.. o_O :shame: One must know their genres..

I'm so metal I don't need a sig.. [Yet]

I know them both well. I like Therion better than Symphony X though...

If anyone is a big black metal fan try out Ildjarn. It's realy raw, and pretty much what black metal should be :D .

Also, Ihsan is a great band. It's Prog metal with harsh vocals (so kind of Prog/death).

How could you guys like any kind of bands named like "Carcass" or "Blood Bath" or "Cannibal Corpse?" I know everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but seriously =|. You have to have something messed up in the head if you listen to that disgusting "music" if you ask me. Can someone please explain to me how that can be pleasing to the ears? I'm trying to be open to other styles of music I just can't comprehend how you could like bands like these.

for one cannical corpes has the best bassits in metal, there vocalest has an amzzing voice, there the strongest musicly in death metal, and there shows rock, i mean if metal isnt your thing thats ok, but i for one love metal music, what other ppl like and what YOU like are 2 differnt things,i like bands like this becasue they stay true to them selfs put ona great show and ARE FUN to go to,
