same here, except that i also wear book of saradomin, and only a bronze pick. Lessens the cost of replacement (if any) in the case of being pk'ed/

Wear black d hide not to protect from pkers, but so that abyss monters hit less and so I dont need to eat every run. Boots of lightness, ring of life (helps out every once in a long while), bronze pick,and glory.

 

 

 

I used to do it without dhide so that i would use less energy every run, but even with 87 defense the abyss monters would force me to eat every couple of runs and that slowed me down.

I usually go hatless and bring an axe instead of a pick because it's much easier to replace. Dueling ring and glory is because I've been known to bring an uncharged glory by accident and I really don't like being stranded at the nature altar and having to walk so far to get back :oops:

My best defense is my combat level, only 76. I've been attacked a few times, but only one of my attackers deserves my respect, he was truly talented. He was the only one that teleblocked me. I teled just in time, but was stranded in Port Phasmatys for what seemed like an eternity.

 

 

 

A few others have tried, but at my level I have a more relaxing time than most. To successfully pk me, you need to have a very good pure and, gladly, most people who devote their time into making such a good character find better uses for him than killing little old rc'er me :)

 

 

 

I've decided to avoid leveling combat by all means possible, and this suits me nicely as I always wanted to be a mage anyway. It does make leveling slayer a pain though. You try doing slayer without the possibility of meleeing and see how expensive and slow it can get :?

I've asked this before to a guy who insisted on trying to kill me. I truly am curious, personally I have nothing against rc pk'ers.

 

 

 

I know it's not the mainstream view, but as an abby rc'er myself I don't hate you or anything, the thing is in the wilderness so pking is something we have to be prepared for. And the fact is if it wasn't for pkers there would be nothing stoping everyone from doing this, which surely would kill runes' prices.

 

 

 

I don't have much respect for you either, but that's a different story. It's a living, I guess.

 

 

 

But back to my question: is it possible to kill abbyss rc'ers without teleblock? Seems (to me) like one would have to be quite careless to let himself get killed.

I haven't ever died without being teleblocked. I do belive it could be possible if there's some cb 70 mage pure and a lvl 65-70 rcer.

 

 

 

I don't have a beef with abyss pkaers, as long as they don't brag about it. Once I died and the fruitcake had the nerve to message me saying "Killed you, you noob!" and then he offered to sell me back my glory. Heck no, i'm not buying from a jerk. I have found a very good way to avoid being killed if attacked, Constantyl try to tely with the mage of zammy until you get away from there snare and go to the air alter and die if you are about to. Then from fally, run to a bank grab an air tally and go get your stuff back. Has worked for me 4/5 times I've tried it. First time I forgot my tally :-\

As you can probubly tell, i go heavy on the mage defense-which has saved me countless times from both ancienters and TB'ers (TB'ers are the most dangerous-I've died twice in 15k nat crafts since I started, but been attacked many more times-I died both times because of TB'ers and bloody lack of sound on macs to hear the TB... Which was fixed this week, making me nearly an unpkable abyss crafter, but please, nobody try that theory.
