It'd be cool if you started some competitions here(since you are a mod) like a pallete challenge (post a pallete and have everyone make something with it. Start with like the default mspaint pallete, and then follow with some other whacky ones, with like 10 colors or less) or a design challenge(This weeks topic: Zombie. Everyone does there rendition of a zombie. That kinda challenge woulndt have to be strictly pixel, tradtitional medium or digipaint would be fine there) or a coloring in a linework challenge. I'd like to have some kind of prize involved (forum related, highscores, avatar/sig/title) but once I find some way for sure I'll host something.
