May 25, 200620 yr Post your favorite pc games. personal favorites -------------- rpg: lands of lore rts: warcraft 2 shooter: doom -------------- I was reading my pc gamer magazine and found some interesting stuff so I thought I'd make a topic to discuss further. The story line in lands of lore is so incredible. Nice clean graphics/control. Warcraft is my favorite becuase the missions were so fun, specially when you get to the end. Doom was just flat out creepy, i loved it. And I was wondering if anyone has ever played 'Ultimate Domain'?
May 25, 200620 yr The only games I really like playing are stategy games, such as the Age of Empires series. I also used to play Caesar III way too much (for the fans: Caesar IV is coming out soon!). Apart from that, nothing at all  Bill Hicks[/url]":dhj2kan9]Since the one thing we can say about fundamental matter is, that it is vibrating. And since all vibrations are theoretically sound, then it is not unreasonable to suggest that the universe is music and should be perceived as such.
May 25, 200620 yr chess........ in real life. i like to play against my dad at christma ( we never find time). it's funny it takes him 10 minutes to make the next move :P

May 25, 200620 yr StarCraft Brood War!! Infact, right now I am taking a break from RS and playing StarCraft with a few friends. I'll be back soon though. Another game would have to be Super Mario 64. I got that game when I was like 6 or so and I finally got all 120 stars when I was 11. Yeah, it took me 5 years. I kind of gave up for like 3 years...
May 25, 200620 yr PacMan FTW. I made a new record in the local Arcade :) Chess is cool too. "The cry of the poor is not always just, but if you never hear it you'll never know what justice is."

May 26, 200620 yr Chip's Challenge. :oops:Oh snap, I've totally forgotten about that game :x Edit: Jetpack and Crsytal Caves, I think it is, as well.
May 26, 200620 yr The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind. -the best RPG game ever. End of story. ________________ The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion -the second-to-best RPG game ever. Graphics totally pwn Morrowinds', yet the gameplay and roleplay isn't as good. It makes up with awesome combat and quests, though. Living your own life. _________________
May 26, 200620 yr Raptor I remember I was always disappointed with the 'death ray' weapon - it was more like a peashooter. Crsytal Caves, I think it is, as well. Crystal Caves was good, but I think its predecessor Secret Agent Sam was better, As for my list, pretty much anything made by Apogee and then stick Deus Ex on the end. I'm afraid to play Deus Ex again because I know it won't be as good as I remember it. Oh yeah, and also the SpaceQuest series - 3 in particular. And Loom, that had great music. Some people are changed by being a moderator. I wouldn't be.
May 26, 200620 yr Uh, probably The Legend of Zelda, Ocarina of Time or Majoras Mask. I loved them both. ATM I am playing WoW a heap, but as soon as I finish my tier two set I will probably quit.
May 26, 200620 yr Raptor I remember I was always disappointed with the 'death ray' weapon - it was more like a peashooter. Yea, that was a bit of a downer with me as well. Crsytal Caves, I think it is, as well. Crystal Caves was good, but I think its predecessor Secret Agent Sam was better,TBH, I haven't played Secret Agent Sam. I had it at one point, but I never got around to playing it. I will have to dig it up sometime, see what I missed. As for my list, pretty much anything made by Apogee and then stick Deus Ex on the end. I'm afraid to play Deus Ex again because I know it won't be as good as I remember it. Oh yeah, and also the SpaceQuest series - 3 in particular. And Loom, that had great music. Anything by Apogee indeed.
May 26, 200620 yr I still have 5.25" floppies with games like Alley Cat, Paratrooper and the first Police Quest game. Too bad the PSU of my DOS computer is fried, otherwise I'd be able to play them like I used to fifteen years ago :( My Tip.It Times Articles (10 and counting) || The Varrock Library Author Index projectDo you dare to dream? - Part 19 added. || The Hospital (WIP) - New story!Necromagus looks like a viking ... with glasses.

Graphics totally pwn Morrowinds', yet the gameplay and roleplay isn't as good. It makes up with awesome combat and quests, though. Living your own life. _________________Wait...This is a classic games thread. Oblivion came out like 2 months ago :S. And Morrowind like, 2003. Those are wholly modern games. As for classic, I like Dark Forces the most. The base game trumps Doom in every concievable way (the only things Doom has on it are LAN play and a lot more levels, however poorly designed they may be). Seriously Dark Forces destroys Doom in story, level design, gameplay, weapon/enemy design. It's just a lot better. I think I really could have into X-com if I had started it in 1993-1995. It seems like a really cool game. I downloaded it off fileplanet like last week, and while it seems good, it seems to complicated for me to want to spend the time playing a 13 year old game to want to try it. There's a few other games I like, that are very old, but not necesarily considered classics. I also want to try the original System Shock.
May 26, 200620 yr Mmm. I was a console kid for most of my youth but when i was -really- young we had a pc. Well actually, i've no idea what it was. It had a keyboard and you stuck cartridges into the back of it. I think. I'm talking late eighties here. I don't remember the names of most of the games, but i remember the games themselves. There was Space Indavers (of course), Frogger (ftw!), a game where you played an airplane that moved across the screen, and you had to bomb cities before you got too low and crashed into them. Eeerm.. that game where you're a car and you move left and right to avoid other cars. That's all i can remember, but it was great fun :D I was pretty young and so pretty useless at them. I remember being amazed when my dad beat the airplane game :o Good times :) In a little hilltop village they gambled for my clothesI bargained for salvation and they gave me a lethal doseI offered up my innocence, I got repaid with scorn"Come in'', she said, "I'll give you shelter from the storm"
