Runescape Is Becoming Lonley.

I don't know if it's just me, but compared to what it used to be. I have far less conversation with fellow Runescapers as I once did. Now it's all, iscolated (sp) training, pking and staking. I feel that if I don't get some good friends, I might as well quit Runescape (Runescape is nothing without friends.) Does anyone else feel like this?

I'm a lonley noob, add X0 Ranged 0X and talk to me

I added you :P I don't really mind silence...what's annoying is when people start talking they usually get into stupid arguments that don't make any sense. Someone called someone a 4 itemer at Fire Giants :?

It's lonely because people chose not to take the risk that someone will be a moron, and start begging or such. Just go into a f2p world with some rather expensive armor on. Take note of the people around you. The lower levels that walk by without asking you about your armor are generally the nicer ones (or pures). I did that with full Torag, a whip, and a d sq, this one level 40 something started talking to me, so I talked back. He didn't ask about my armor other than commenting on my Rune Boots and how cool they looked, but ever since then we've been great friends. And I find that RuneScape gets boring if you only focus on skills. I'm more social in the game, and that's why I have fun, especially during Construction because I get to show off my house to my friends, and they like all of the cool features in it.

In other words: don't turn somebody away because they are a lower level than you; they could be extremely good friends that you just haven't had the chance to meet.

:D Just make a post in the clan recruitment forum. You'll get flooded with invites.

;)

RS did become really lonely for me a while back, all i did was PK and it got pretty boring.

I joined a clan and truly brought back a lot of the fun.

Having said that, I quit said clan to start my pure. But my pure is now a main, so i'm looking for a clan again. o.O

Runescape is nothing without friends

Well said, well said...

Use valor's suggestion, tip it is a very friendly community. Just go to one of the TET events and make a few friends :P .

By popular demand, this signature is back- however I currently do not have a blog up at the moment and if I did I wouldn't update it. Sorry, the sig links to nowhere :( .

I feel bad that you're gettin' kinda lonesome. I never feel lonely because of two things. I have some friends on my chat list who I am able to talk to pretty frequently and I'm totally ok with being alone. Just me and my ditzy maid.

If you ever find yourself doing something long and boring, like killing something in a spot or smelting or mining, and there are a bunch of other people or at least one other person nearby, try striking up a conversation. You may or may not find someone who can become a pretty good friend. Be wary of the people who comment on how rich you are. I've had some who did that and added me without me knowing so when they sent me a pm I was like "Who the heck are you?" but felt I shouldn't immediately put them on my ignore list so eventually they started begging. And also, I've had people who I helped by telling them about quests and stuff and they added me and now they constantly bombard me with noob questions. I mean, COME ON!! How can you not know how to unnote an item?!?!

Making good friends is hard I have like 100 on my list and talk to about 5...But hey I've known them for a LONG time..From like 2003 and such..

So just be friendly to people and hope they like you :)

I'm always up for a good chat, feel free to pm.

Clans definitely help. I've definitely made some really good friends there. I've kind of transitioned from doing stuff with other Tip.it members(as little seems to happen these days, and most of my friends are long gone. There's no more tight knit group of friends on TIF :( ) to doing stuff primarily with my clan.

Well, all my friends in real life quit runescape a while ago so it has been lonely for me in that respect. However, I do have a lot of nice people in game keeping me attached.

Trying is just the first step in failure.
