Well, I did the quest about hour ago, and now I'm fishing them, They are trully awesome exp, heals better than lobster, but I don't understand

 

Why am I there alone, I went to fishing guild, it was crowded :shock:

 

Why aren't people fishing monkfishes?

 

They are better exp

 

They are catching pretty fast

Lobsters can be sold to f2p'ers. That's the only reason that I can think of.

There are a few reasons i can think of:

 

 

 

1. Burning is an issue, you burn quite a few (around 20% at about 70's cooking) monkfish, where as you dont burn any lobsters at the same level (with cooking gaunts).

 

 

 

2. It's way too far to get there for many people's liking.

 

 

 

But i agree, it rules over lobsters anyday, i am my remaining lobsters as topping up food now.

Quest is annoying, need the high levels. Pretty much agreeing with what everyone else said. :P lol sorry.

It takes 15 mins to get there. Anyway, if you are there, theyre really cool.

Not to mention the place is a long walk to get there. Most people in the fishing guild fish for sharks, because of the money they can get when sold and the sharks heal for 20.

Well I only have about 350 left, so when I run out i'll go fish some more aswell.

they awesome training food, but I wouldnt take them to the kq or a duel. I love bringing them on slayer tasks and the like.

 

 

 

However Im currently trying to get all my fishing trophys for my crip. After I get my sharky I will go back there and fish for monkfish when I need food.

That reminds me, I need some Monkfish >_>

I fished there for a while, but it is really boring. the guild is much more exciting with people to talk to.

cause it's hard to get there, when it first came out i stayed there for about a week, didn't move until the next update, but once i left it was hard for me to go back...

I jumped on them right away and fished 15k of them stil got all 15k raw soooo hard to sell...

monk fish is the kind of fish that you keep for yourself to use really, because superior food already exists and there is a good market for them

I haven't done One Small Favour or Garden of Tranquility... That's why.

 

 

 

I will fish monkfish if I ever train fishing again, but that is not likely.

Wow, I finished the quest on the first day but never tried fishing them. And wow, I burn only like 7%, they're faster then lobs, give more xp and they heal more. :D

i find them great barrows food

I fish for them to get me to sharks. Good xp for cooking (when you don't burn em) :D

they are useless for cooking xp, by the time you get to a leve lthat you are not burning every other one, why not just do sharks? no market for monkfish is why no1 fishes them

well i fish monkfish whenever i run out...which wont happen cause im gonna start cutting magics...but if im going 2 fish them and u r ill come

I've gone from 90 - 92 fishing there in less than a week, it's very good experience however not as good as fly fishing in terms of experience but you get much more cash. I'm planning on going all the way to 99 fishing there.

i am having a hard time getting those runes for the quest :P i quit playing members and dumped all my talismans and tiaras... and noone sells comborunes :P
