Should This Be the Guide?

Hi everyone. I wrote the guide to "Death to the Dorgeshuun" and I wanted to know if you guys think it should be the guide Tip.It uses. This is the link:

http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=222 ... c&start=15

It's at the bottom of the page. Please tell me what you think. :)

it looks more like a runehq guide than tip.it, for some odd reason tip.it doesnt like to add helpful little pictures to their guides they just sorta give you a general direction of where you should be going. no offence tip.it owns.

No need to be shy. Just say it: RuneHQ quest guides are simply better because they are much more detailed and specific.

That may be sort of true, but there guides are rushed and are generally wrong

All Quests completed

99 Thieving achieved on January 10th, 2008

99 Defense achieved on August 3rd, 2008

85 Slayer achieved on July 31st, 2008

6 Dragon boot drops, 14 Whip drops

tip.it guides not have helpful bits?

yes because all the maps etc specifically amde for quest guides with arrows are not helpful

And when APERSON spent about 2 days talking to me so that the mournings end part 2 maps were correct as it is hard to put in text wasn't trying to be helpful

The fact of the matter is althou RuneHQ guides often look better they just as often have many mistakes or are confusing where they don't need to be

Only times I've known a tip.it guide to have a major mistake is when that quest has been updated so the guide is slicghtly old

lol... :D

Well, I had a thread some time back called "A non-biased look at runehq and tip.it" and it was unanimous that runehq's quest guidse were better. Then..the thread got locked because the mods were afraid people would flame runehq (I blame the community not the mods).

Its not that hard really.

RuneHQ extremely better site with guides and stuff.

But with no community.

Tip.it crappy community, but 100K members.

Frankly....I use both..

In general when i need a guide, both guides are missing something...but together theyve got it all

AND tip it community destroys runehq lol

Well it all depends on what sort of person you are. If you are a person who gets more from pictures rather than words, the rune hq is usually better for you. Rune hq has more (and usually better) guides that relate to other things rather than quests.

However, I prefer Tip.it quides because they are often better written and contain more accurate information.

Sure, runehq's guides have pictures but what, you stil need pictures to understand things? Overall Runehq's guides have many mistakes because they are rushed to bring them out. :-X Tip.it, on the other hand are very well thought out and carefully researched, thus very few mistakes, if any. \' YOU decide which are better.

I don't know when this turned into a debate on what guides are better, but...

I like Tip.it a lot more :)

I generally prefer to do things on my own but when I am really stuck I always find what I need here at Tip.it.

(Nice guide Rcty)

I aways use a tip.it guide as my first resort, but if I get stuck and tip.it guides no can longer help me, or I get confused by them. I turn to other sites, only for a different explaination and different view of the author. It wokrs out really well beacause Tip.it is ALWAYS right, but sometimes gets a little confusing, and a guide that is less confusing but may contain some mistakes will help out.

Runehq might have pictures but there is so much wrong information there, Tip.it guides tell it like it is. Runehq has a horrible community with buddies, Tip.it has a good community with a few bad eggs but I chose Tip.it

I'll agree with everybody that Runehq is better in quest guides, but has a low community. Tip.it has detailed mini-game/skill guides/calcs/tables etc whereas Runehq's are... what's the word... unorganized. Plus Rune hq hurts my eyes. :oops:

Overall grade:

Tip.it = A

Runehq = C
