Sunburns... not really, but...

Last year i was with my family on vacation in France.

We were about to eat, so I was carrying plates and such.

Just when I wanted to turn around, I just fell, on the sandy ground.

I lied there for 10 seconds :? and when they called me (asking why I was lying down) it just seemed like a dream, far far away :)

Conclusion: I drunk to little, so it must be dehydration that threw me down...I drunk a whole liter of IceTea after that :)

I was on a cruise and we went to Fanning Island (Kiribati), which is basically in the middle of the ocean. I relaxed on the beach and in the water.. and either the sunscreen wasn't strong enough (SPF 45) or it wasn't very waterproof. I burned half of both my arms and some of my back. It was painful..

Just a question to some people, when you guys get sunburned, how long are you guys outside for?

I was out on the beach for a good 3-4 hours, burning. lol. It was fun while it lasted, at least. :P

its been i think 3 days now since i got sunburnt, and im already almost completely healed, im no longer hurting or anything.

anyone with sunburns i have sum advice:

wet rags with vinegar and apply them to the worst parts of your sunburn, in otherwords, where it's stinging. leave the rags on for 30 minutes... do this once a day until healed.

From experience, the above has reduced stinging and peeling.

My worst one was 6+ hours on a river. But I get a light sunburn after an hour and a half(doesn't hurt, but you can see it) :?

I got burned playing basketball outside with my friends I was going topless so my whole back, front and shoulders were all red and a wee bit flakey, and I had a golf medal that afternoon! Being a keen golfer I played all eighteen holes and went home and peeled some dead skin off and put aftersun lotion on my shoulders.

worst of all I didn't win a prize at the golf #-o

Wow, your skin are pretty sensitive :? I wouldn't get any sun burns unless I'm out 8 hours or more, and that's without any sun screen too. Only got sun burns when I go swimming in beaches in the Philippines since I'm out there early in the morning til the sun goes down.

I love to be outside so the back of my neck and my face is usually sunburned. My worst was probably when i went to Hawaii with my family. We went snorkling for 6 hours and came back with horrible sunburns. But we got to go to one of the best snorkling locations in the world. And it was great (and totally worth the sunburn) \'

I rarely get sunburn, but recently I got it bad(ish). I was in a pool in direct sunlight for like 2 hours, my shoulders, upper back, and arms were burned. Hurt for a few days, then today it started to blister. :x

I burn slightly on my nose and cheeks, and that's it. I can't remember the last time I burnt on my legs or arms or anything on the beach..

Though, I only goto the beach for about two and a half weeks out of summer.

I have this thing, where I don't tan without burning, and forevery step I want to get darker then I have to burn over the tan. Doesn't make me wear sunscreen or stop going outside though :D
