bballhottie1332
Global warming has nothing to do with kids getting fat. It's how much exercise and junk food they eat. Runescape is just a fun game for everyone to play, some kids that play may be fat, but that might be because they don't get enough exercise. I agree with who-ever it was that said the hot weather actually causes you to loose weight, because when kids or adults are outside playing or working in the heat, they sweat right? Well, the sweat is actually buring calories, correct me if not.

Huzzah
Not all runescape players are fat. I for one would rather play runescape then watch brain numbing tv.
yougotcot
im not saying bad stuff about anyone. im just saying global warming makes more people stay inside so people get less exercise, and that personally it feels like each summer is getting hotter. audee
i would say credits to the thread starter.. such topics get us (the forum-goers) to revert and comment.. creative suggestion that globalwarming 8-) creates crowds.. well.. may or may not be true.. personally i think if the weather is warm.. we all stay home to enjoy air-conditioning and there are so mani alternative or means to enjoy ur day in-house. People play rs for the love of the game not becoz of the freak weather.. even its cool outside.. there will always be people playing rs still.. for the love of the game.. don't the forumers around agree? we :3> runescape... Adam007
Global warming's only risen temperatures a few degrees so far. It's hard to attribute kids not playing outside because it beign to 1-3 degrees hotter - as if that's the ultimate threshold we could take. A year ago 100k people played because it was one degree colder from less global warming? But with those 1-3 degree increases, man, it's just too much to take. 90 degrees we can take, but 92!? Out of the question.
Ts_Stormrage
It is not so much that it is 1-3 degrees hotter.... it is that it will CONTINUE to get hotter... Watch movies like "The Day After Tomorrow" or "An Inconvinient Truth" I'm a climatology student, and the numbers are pretty clear... In 40 years, the summers in spain will be too hot to survive normally for a human being. Most of Florida for example, will be under water. And who's to blame? All of us... But who's to blame the most? The Good ole US of A... A country with only 3% of the world population, emits 18% of total human contributed CO2 to nature... And that is but 1 of many greenhouse gasses. OFCOURSE there is stuff that YOU can do, and many are cliche, but heres a link anyways: http://www.powerscorecard.org/reduce_energy.cfm Oh, and dont "just drive around a bit" saves a ton. Chaos_Reborn
personally i think playing runescape and video for the whole day is bad, i try as hard as i can not to. but wow 200k people at once playing runescape, thats so much more people playing computer games inside rather than doing something physical outside! for some people they stay inside and play computer games all day because it is too hot all day. the earth has been getting hotter and the air dirtier because of how we treat our planet. without being outside more and more kids are getting fatter. we can blame junk food, fast food etc etc but a lot of people are not ngetting enough exercise. sorry i cant get my thoughts together but what i want to say is blame global warming for more kids playing runescape and getting fatter. Excuse me if someone has mentioned this before, since I didn't read all the posts. You are only looking at the dark side of global warming, not the bright side. Thanks to global warming, people can now live up north. If there wasn't any global warming in Scandinavia, I'm sure a lot of kids would stay at home playing games (just like when it's during winter) because it's -10 degrees Celsius outside. Now when it's summer, it's the perfect climate for us to sport outside like me, and we have to thank global warming for that. And getting fat doesn't neccessarily have to do with playing Runescape for too long. Fast food anyone? :shame: One more thing, don't talk about global enviromental problems linking with Runescape here on the general chat page anyways. Go to the off-topic place... I have to say that I play RuneScape a lot and I'm not fat, I'm actualy underweight. And another note my job gets me outside and requires a bit of physical work. I walk 1.5 miles to work and another 1.5 back home, not to mention I do a lot of walking while working which is around 3 miles. No longer playing Runescape, I caught the WoW bug. He's very very skinny, and that's due to the fact that he's low on nutrients and because he eats too little. I'd call this "global warming idea" a cover up. If you can't admit that you're lazy to do sports outside, blame everything on global warming. Visit my Runescape comedy website, based on in-game screenshots. Dexek
Yea, I work in the field all summer.. Runescape is where I come after work, not to replace it. I am sure this is true for many people, and lots of people are physically active as well. I don't think one person can blame what he is becoming on other things. Just be active indoors if you do not like to go outside. Lift weights, it is a good workout and it builds strength, confidence and physical appearance. sweetdeal7777
The theory is a bit of a stretch, but I must agree. I don't play runescape that often, and when I do it's when I'm not outside. I do many outdoor activities, but recently the entire nation has been getting hotter, which keeps me indoors with my air conditioning blasting =)
Pinkbullet3
Well, I have nothing to blame, since I have to go to swimming practice from 7-8:30 every weekday morning.
