When the tears don't come

Today was the end of school and the end of our elementary years. Ultralord and I headed out the doors, and we were met by a huge crowd of all our classmates. Tears were shed hugs were dished out, and all in all it was a sad but happy expeirence for us all. Many didn't want to go home for the last time, and plenty of us hugged the walls we learnt to cherish year after year. I felt sad the whole time but the tears wouldnt come. The feeling of doubt and confusion followed, but the tears won't come. I just want to know what you think, do you ever feel like this at a special day for you?

~ our last day of school.. ill miss everyone :(

Edit: im Not 9 years old, I just finished grade 8.

hows the weather up there. where the rich people live. currently, in the poor area its -1.

You'll miss, but all the other feelings you're having are what's confusing you, as if you were thinking about next year you'd probably having a mix of nervousness, anxiety, happiness, and excitement all this together makes for some weird feelings that will go away and come back as they please =P

That's a very poetic title for an elementary schooler.

Anyways - enjoy middle school as much as you can. Grades really don't matter until you hit high school.

This is the way the world ends. Look at this [bleep]ing shit we're in man. Not with a bang, but with a whimper. And with a whimper, I'm splitting, Jack.

The thing is -- most likely, you're not going to be seperated (because of schools) from your friends until high school or college.

You're sad that you're going to have to leave your "second home", but tears don't come because you know everyone will be coming with you. :)

Leaving elementary school was awesome. Leaving middle school on the other hand, now that's sad. Anyway, I've never actually cried or come close to it on events like this. I'm sad but not that sad.

Elementry school?? Mann relax..

I felt a little bit the same back then.. But when you're busy with the summer and getting ready to start a new year of school in a new school you probably won't miss it as much as you did and felt today.

It's how it was for me.

Middle school, at least where I live, is overrated, a pain in the butt, and overall pointless. Except it gives you two years to mature, figure out a few things about yourself, delve into some of your interests, get to know people, get a little emo, deal with the drama... A necessary evil.

I didn't cry when middle school was over... Although ironically, my last day was spent at a funeral. But that's the day my life changed for the worse... As a kid, the death of a grandparent I never knew too terribly well didn't affect me, but it sure affected my mom. Now she's a control freak, judgemental, and basically a pain. That's a side story.

On that note, I can't wait to get outta high school and get away. But I'm gonna miss a lot of my friends... Even if we go to the same college.

I never understand when freshman who are going to the same school next year cry to their friends on the last day of school. We have telephones, social networking sites, AIM, MSN, Skype... and they'll see each other in two months. Woop-de-doo.

But I can understand if somebody's moving. I don't want to move until I finish senior year, and then I'm moving far, far away from this small, narrow-minded place :D .

I was quite happy to get out of Elementary School. :D I did have a moment like that when I got out of Junior High. Everyone just hugged each other, and we promised each other we would see everyone else in High School.

I was SO happy to get out of elementary school. I hated most of the people there since I didn't have many of the same interests as them. Plus I was going to a different district for middle school. I was also happy to get out of middle school, mostly because I hated a lot of the teachers. Also everyone went to the same high school unless they went to the other high school in town. Now I'm wondering how high school is gonna end. I'm hoping me and my friend are going to get into the same college, and maybe have the same classes since we know what we want to go to school for, but also I can wait for the costs of college. lol

Yeah that is one hell of a title for such a young person. Also grades still don't matter much to me (and I'm in high school)... I'm taking as few classes as possible and I'm mostly taking art/computer classes because they're the only things I'm good at :wall:

I ran aw soon as elementary school was over... I hated it a lot (grade 5 mind you) people were jerks and it was just so boring :wall: Middle school is slighty better, but still a pain in the but.
