Jagex will never put a fishing guild in f2p, it already exists in members...

You are free to play. Jagex is a company like all other companies, their goal is to make a profit. Name me one other MMORPG on the market that has a free unlimited-time demo for the game, most of them is restricted to something lik 7 days. You do not pay = you do not have a good service. If you want a better service become a member.

Some people don't have parents that allow them to be members. And some other people can't afford it. If he could become a member, don't you think that he would?

I don't make the rules, I break them...

I've said it once, I'll say it again.

F2p is a full game. P2p is an expansion pack.

Usualy the full game is much larger then an expansion pack, f2p is a demo for members since you can only access a part of the game... And your attemps are useless, Jagex will not give f2p a major update.

Hmm, I would say no because f2p dont pay so they shouldnt get updates...But then again, jagex could put a small one with not much in it, so f2p want to get members for the *real* guild.

The problem is, alot of these guilds already exist pretty deep in members territory. And it wouldn't really work well to just move these guilds to f2p territory.

But it could work to just put in another skill guild, this time in f2p territory. Like a woodcutting or smithing guild. That could actually work out really well. But I doubt Jegax will do it. They dont really care much for updating f2p(pretty lazy on their part IMO :x ).

I'm just quoting this since this is the first one:

Before you go baching f2p and saying we make no impact on runescape, and Jagex really dosn't care if we leave or not, I suggest reading this: http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=489094

Hey guess what! Runescape STARTED with non memebers! Members was started to make a profit. Right after members started jagex said "they will constinue to help the f2p version of their game grow" (or something like that) anyway it ticks me off that they haven't, theyve forgotten. They announced POHs when members wasn't even a thought! Yet still its members. It also annoys me that things that SHOULD be f2p aren't like.. coifs and rings of forging... ANYWAY back on topic I would LIKE new guilds but its NEVER going to happen! Jagex just won't.

Yea, f2p is an important "stepping stone" to p2p. However...

The fishing guild is already in deep members territory. As for other guilds, Jagex doesn't really have much incentive to put them in f2p.

Here's the probable perspective of Jagex - That f2p is mostly a way to get new members. And they also probably think that f2p has enough updates as it is, or at least to draw people into the game. They also probably think that most people who register complaints about lack of f2p updates, like this, will mostly become members. They may or may not be right about this last part.

From a Jagex perspective, they really see no need to give updates to non-paying customers. As for the "we made RS what it is today" argument that is bound to come up - just so you know, you're only allowed to use that argument if you started playing before February 27, 2002 (when members was released). And that's a pretty small population.

Maple Story.

Well, actually that isn't a demo, it's the entire freaking game . But it's still free unlimited-time.

Yes, but does that make you special? If your parents wont let you, then go out and make the cash yourself, if you are too poor, then why are you owning a computer (and playing a high-bandwith game.) You are just lucky that you can even play runescape for free, without a time limit.

Please dont flame.

Why should it?

Yes, all the 13-15 year olds should go out and get jobs and credit cards.

if you are too poor, then why are you owning a computer (and playing a high-bandwith game.)

But for alot of teenagers, the parents own the computer, not them. And RS isn't a high-bandwith game, it can be played just fine on 56k.

You are just lucky that you can even play runescape for free, without a time limit.

Wow, I haven't heard that worthless argument before.

Please dont flame.

Um...he wasn't flaming....

I myself being a f2p guy, am free to bash them as i see fit, and i will therefore conclude that we fortunate to even have this much...

The entire f2p version is clearly designed to "recruit" members and rightfully so. Jagex is in fact a company, believe it or not.

Oh and before you flame me try to remember the last time you paid a monthly bill for other peoples continued enjoyment. In my opinion these guys (jagex) are saints, having given me countless hours of free entertainment.

(this post is directed to those who whine about f2p's shortcomings, not the f2p crowd in general)

btw I have fell for the ploy and will have a membership in the next month .

i beleive that everything should be f2p, but if you dont pay the five dollars a month your computer gets shoved full with every peice of adware jagex can find on the net, that would make things pefectly fair

oh and there would still be members only worlds, so you can avoid the f2p noobs with supercomputers that can handle all that adware

are you finding ling ling's head?
