Because most people at barrows right now don't have 61 prayer, and less people getting barrows items = less barrows items. All the poeople who acient at barrows should be "safe" if this happened, but acienting is still a loss of runes. August 2, 200619 yr Well I am one off lvl 61 prayer and I have stocked up on dragon bones waiting to be ecto/gilded. I think I got enough dragons bones for atleast 62 prayer :lol: I have yet to start Barrows but I think I will start Barrows once those new prayers are released too. I hope the prayer updates come this Monday then I will be online to experience them and see the reaction of the RuneScape community. August 2, 200619 yr Well you never know, they did say that the new prayers coming out are going to match the str and accuracy prayers, so why not level wise as well? It could go... 1. Thick Skin 4. Burst of Strength AND 5% range up 7. Clarity of Thought AND 5% magic up This way it would still follow the "one prayer every 3 levels" and not bump up the levels needed for some of the current prayers. Anyone even considering that jagex is going to change the requirements for the prayer, because of that ONE person who posted that text list, may i ask why? Normally everyone on tip.it automaticaly calls fake when people just post text, yet people are actually starting to believe that this text list is true? Untill there is some firm proof that the prayer requirements are gonna change, i advise you all to calm down. -.- Mystical. You're right. There is no reason to worry. There is no proof. It hasn't been confirmed by real Jagex staff so you're right. Jagex really ruined the fact crossbows are meant to be weak not overpowered. I hope they are not ruining the prayers. :shame:

Why do you people believe this guy ? I have several explenations to prove that smite will still be 52 prayer after this addition: 1) would it be fair for mages/rangers to need a higher prayer lvl then protection prayers while meleers are way below that ? just to use a statboosting prayer.. 2) The list of that guy doesn't even fit in with the prayer list from the picture. 3) He used the known "3 interval" prayers to determine each required prayer lvl which is no valid law to base your research on. And last and also most determining. 4) HAS JAGEX EVER EVER CHANGED A LVL REQUIREMENT BEFORE ? nope, so why would they do now ? The picture is sound but where did you get the level changes? If you simply made them up yourself you are most likely wrong. Why would Jagex change a level req NOW after years of keeping them the same? I agree that they are too low but Jagex is not likely to cause themselves this much grief to remedy that. There is nothing to say they can't give more than one prayer for some levels 8-) although, in the bts itself, it did say the prayer titles, so i would think that they put out that pic as a red herring(as they mentioned 2 prayers, not 6, as shown in the picture; yet they may make different stages of the mage/range boosting prayer) good idea, but if they have 6 dispersed along 52.. the new prayers would interfere at around lvl 9 lvl 17 lvl 26 lvl 35 lvl 43 and lvl 52 if they spread them evenly from 8 & 1/3 a level but: they probably will place them on existing levels otherwise: they'll space out the boosting prayers every 6.5 levels hence: lvl 7 lvl 13 lvl 20 lvl 26 lvl 33 lvl 39 (or, if 7 is too low-remove it and) {lvl 46} although: anything is possible and if they boost the reqs for the protection prayers, any f2p players who love to get their pray to 43 for pking and monster training, will possibly quit

The barrows requires prayer, so if the prayer level requiremnts increase (which they wont) less people will be able to do the barrows resulting in a price increae
