Stormrage Tips - Number 4

Use the abyss :)

Same as with runecrafting, but use the earth altar

Exit it, run slightly north, plank it, and glory back to edgy...

Faster then varrock bank, cheaper then sending your servant to do it

Same precautions as abyss runecrafting should be taken...

This is probably the fastest way to level up construction...

Wield:

Stuff that doesnt make you get killed doing all this.

Air staff, boots of lightness

Inventory:

1 essence (I suggest buying a few hundred normal ess for this)

1 (or more) Law rune

6000 (or more) coins

Pick-axe or Axe

24 oak logs

Must have at House:

Mounted Glory Amulet

Tool Store 1 (withdraw a hammer and a saw)

Oak Workbench

Procedure:

- Withdraw from Bank: 1 essence, 1 law, 6000 coins, 24 oak logs

- Go to abyss -> earth altar

- Craft the 1 essence, exit the Altar

- Run to Sawmill Operator, and Plank the Logs

- Tele to house

- Get 1 hammer and 1 saw from Tool Store 1

- Make 4 Carved Oak Dining Tables

- Glory via mounted glory amulet to edgeville (drop hammer and saw somewhere)

- Put the flatpacked (IKEA FTW) carved oak dining tables in the bank

rinse and repeat

Remember, if you are the one losing a glory to abyss PK-ers, I despise you as the moron who kept abyss-pking profitable...

In light of the reactions on my previous tip, here is another of your Stormrage Favorites:

How to get to Pestcontrol quickly.

Required: Glory, and 30gp (or Activated Ring of Charos)

Procedure:

Glory to Karamja

Take the Boat ot Port Sarim

Take the Boat to the Void Knight Outpost

The entire procedure takes less then 40 seconds, including travel time.

Following my tip on logs and planking as well as getting to pestcontrol in no time. It is time for another tip.

Have you ever considered using Darklight? You get it in the "Shadow of the Storm" quest.

It's special decreases the Attack, Strength and Defense of your opponent, and is TWICE as effective on Demons. And it doesnt need to actually hit to have that effect.

To list a few creatures classed as demons:

Black Demons

Greater Demons

Lesser Demons

Abyssal Demons

ALL Thzaar creatures (up to, and including Jad)

Pyrefiends (and Icefiends)

Bloodvelds

Nechryaels

ALL the creatures of the Abyss

ALL the Pestcontrol creatures

Imps

And wherever possible, their Champion.

Now for some it is impractical to use. But when slaying Abyssal Demons, Bloodvelds, Nechryaels, Greater Demons, Lesser Demons, Black Demons, and Thzaar-Ket for their illusive drops, taking less damage, and doing more damage has a definitive advantage.

For me, it allowed me to melee Lessers and Thzaar-Ket on food alone, to kill between 10% and 20% more then unspec-ced.

Hope this helps.

Tune in soon for yet another Stormrage Tip.

It has been a while since my last Tip. So time for another one.

For reference sake, heres a list of my older tips:

Cheap and Fast Log to Planks

Shortcut to Pestcontrol

Darklight highlighted

Having spent 3 weeks in that horrid place, I found the best tactic to use it (duh).

What are you after in that place? Thieving xp, or the Pharaoh's Sceptre.

This tip is mainly meant for those going after the Sceptre.

No need for anti-poison, food, or anything else. More room for the spoils :)

I suggest wearing the best possible Prayer boosting items possible:

Full Proselyte

Zammy Book and Symbol

Firecape if you have one

White knight boots and gloves

And a good weapon (I suggest DDS) to kill Scarabs with.

Play the game as you normally would when going for the Sceptre (aka, Golden Chest, Sarcophagus, and then on to the next level, and repeat, the urns dont give squat).

Play on High Detail, and listen for the sound. You can then hear the Scarabs coming. Turn protection from melee on, and voila, THEY WILL NOT POISON YOU.

You can pretty much run from the mummy.

This way you will get little to no damage, and with high enough prayer level, you can last long enough in there to fill your inventory up.

When your inventory is full (bring a knife, waterskin and a set of desert wear for the short walks outside of the cities), go not through the gate, but use the secret exit on the western wall.

Either make your way to that Simpleton guy and sell your stuff, or bank it right away in Nardah (short walk to the north west). But ALWAYS go to Nardah to recharge your Prayer, and coincidently, your HITPOINTS (hey +10% too).

This means you can do Pyramid Plunder in search for the Sceptre AT ZERO COST.

Hope this helped once more.

I merged the tips into one thread. Edit it as you see fit. :D -RAHK-

Nice idea. Bring along 3-4 pouches too.

I dont think pouches fit logs

Pouches wouldn't do anything...

especially considering logs/planks takes up all your invent space..

Ugh, I guess you can't leave anything to inference.

You bring 23 logs. You bring cash. You bring 3-4 pouches so while you're in the altar you can craft 18-30 runes with 3-4 inventory spaces, and those runes by whatever multiplier your level allows. It would require dropping logs and picking em up but it'd probably be worth it.

No it is not.

Even if you DO want to waste pure essence on earth runes, it is still better to do the earth runes seperately form the logs, instead of doignt hem together...

in the larger ammounts (requiring more then 5 trips each) it is faster to do a run of earth runes and a run of logs...

One COULD however, forgo the use of a glory amulet. Bring along a stack of laws while wielding an air staff and 1 essence.

Craft the 1 essence into an earth rune, exit the portal, plank the logs, house tele, make oak dining tables, use mounted glory to go back to edgy, bank the flatpacks, withdraw logs and 1 ess again, and voila...

This is probably the fastest way to level up construction...

this is a dumb question i guess but why flatpack?

So you don't have to sit there and click remove and rebuild when you could simply have them go to inventory

well, to me, its a waste of perfectly good laws and time, but if you would rather go through the abyss to level up construction than to stay in the comfort of your own home and make the butler make your planks, i guess its ok. to me, however, the abyss is for rcing, and using it for anything else seems like risking a death for nothing.

i just stay in yanille and bring:

a load of money (100k+)

an axe

crystal saw

hammer

one inventory space filler (to keep spaces avaialable to 24)

then i just chop the oaks outside of the house portal, go back inside when i'm full, give the planks to the butler, get them back within 5 seconds, and build.

Did you completely miss the part where I said:

"Faster then Varrock east bank, Cheaper then using your servant"?
