September 27, 200619 yr Your thoughts on best/favorite Barrows armor? My favorite one is Veracs, simply because it hits through armor/prayer, so no matter what your against, it's pretty easy. :)

September 27, 200619 yr i like veracs , simply because its cool.. not that i will ever be able to afford.. my second favorite is Karhils because thats the most awesome range armor ever... and third is guthans because it has soo many advantages and helps training a lot... but again, alll to expensive Never take life too seriously, nobody gets out alive.

September 27, 200619 yr if your going for set effect go with veracs if your maging go for arims if your doing long training go with guthans if your goin for big hits go with dharok really the only one that you wouldnt want to use would be torag or karil Americans love to fight. You named all 4 melee. I agree that Karils sucks...but Ahrims is pretty good. That being said, I've never owned a barrow armor. When I get it, it will be dharoks or versacs, but it would be guthans if I could afford. Quit RS, combat 104, total 1651
September 27, 200619 yr I'd have to say guthan. Out of all of em its the most useful imo of course. September 27, 200619 yr Guthans at the moment. Being able to stay and train at one spot for as long as i need to is pretty exciting. i will probebly sell my whip soon and buy dharoks to mass train str at ape atol to see how that works. but so far, its been Guthans.

I hate Karil's set because it brings nothing useful to the ranger table. We don't need more powerful weapons, we need more tactical uses for our current weapons. Ahrims I think is fairly decent for the mage bonus. I have some, and I use it fairly frequently. I just don't think the set effect makes it worth the extra cash over mystic. Torags is my least favorite. The effect is god-awful, and the weapon is slow and weak. The armor bonus you get from Torags is only slightly worse than guthans, which I also have. I find guthans to be the most effective, both for set effect and armor bonus. You act like the game community is like the stinking bowels of hell.... In all reality.. its much.. much... worse.
September 27, 200619 yr i love guthans for training slayer. 8-) ahrims for cw or barrows runs. never really used any others for any length of time, so i can't comment on them

I don't factor the hammers into torags set, they stink. I use a whip, much better.

September 27, 200619 yr all sets are pretty much handy, but i am always partial to veracs(got the full set from the barrows itself) the use of ice barrage simply takes away the value of karils and torags(wildy based sets - lowers the run rate) the only set i would not get is torags, whip can do the same effect, and as i said ealier, ice spells just kill the use of it karils does bring quite enough to the ranger's world of pking, if you dont have the high enough mage lvl to entangle ot ice, the lowering of agility will be quite helpful if they try run, shoot them a few times, kill their agility and restore it by dd speccing them and sending them to their designated point of origin torags and karils are syngergenic, the destruction of the running factor is usually strong for deep wildy dharoks and guthans can go together as you can make damage both ways efficiently, and one effect can balance out the other ahrims and veracs can loosely work together as the strength lowering can make it so that the veracs wont be hit though so often also, to be on the karil side, when ranging, it isnt like you're gonna be on melee combat against the other, so the higher mage+range def of karils armour is good
