Seeing those pictures make me feel a 1,000,000,000,000th of a pixel. Maybe our sun can grow up to the size of Antares, we have to wait 10 billion years for it.

I don't think the Sun will never grow to the size of Antares. It will be long gone before it could ever reach that size. However it will become much larger. After destroying everything in it's path (including the Earth) while becoming a red giant, it will remain there for billions of years, then collapse into a white dwarf. But I doubt it will ever reach the size of Antares.

You mean it'll go nova. And turn into a blackhole. Long after we die anyway. Chances are the planet will be destroyed before that.

The sun isn't massive enough to nova. It'll never become a black hole.

I gotta do some research on all these random planets.

It looks interesting, cause i like astromnemy :) (Yes i realise i spelt it wrong, but i cant help it. )

If Antares and the others are that big, i wonder if there are some diagrams like that of the entire universe.

With something that large, the gravity would smoosh us pretty well. If a star like Antares imploded, that would be pretty amazing.

yea, well if that happened, we might all die! :ohnoes: :ohnoes: :ohnoes: :ohnoes: :ohnoes: :ohnoes: :ohnoes: :ohnoes: :ohnoes:

the human mind really cannot comprhend the universe its too big! Some times you wished you lived 1000 years ago when they didnt need to think about all these looming factors around human life. (Of course you would be a member of the richer classes)

If I can remember it clearly there's a saying that goes:

'Our knowledge of the universe is a tiny drop in the ocean'

Meh, I dunno if that's right <.<

yeah, the minds of cosmologists/astrologists, etc never cease to amaze me. The universe is incredibly intricate and they seem to have a lot of it mapped pretty well. Theres still a lot of uncharted territory out there though, for example what is beyond the observable universe.
