October 2, 200619 yr With Jagex doing something which I believe is AWESOME, that being the release of Capes of Achievement, whats the impact going to be? At level 99, you can wear a cape which will probably be Lava Cape Styley, which will be an indication of how awesome you are. So, as cooking is the easiest / fastest level 99 for most players (Cons is arguably faster). Will there be a massive rush to cook? And what kind of impact do you think this will have in regard to other stats? And which stat are you going to try attain first? Discuss --Bit of personal-- Love this months look. Jagex doing well on this one. - My skills are now really, really lame ! Time to fix that! -
October 2, 200619 yr I'm looking forward to this. :D Its nice to see Jagex is finally listening to some of the Suggestions from the players. 99 Crafting Blog
October 2, 200619 yr Author I'm looking forward to this. :D Its nice to see Jagex is finally listening to some of the Suggestions from the players. I'll be honest, when you read player suggestions. I usually go through a " JAgex would NEVER do that" stage. This seems to be a fresh look from them :-) - My skills are now really, really lame ! Time to fix that! -
October 2, 200619 yr Massive rush? Yes, that could actually be quite true. Only for cooking or fletching then. Raising shark prices? Impact in regard to other stats? I don't know :-k At least, I think that.
October 2, 200619 yr Must....buy....lobsters...! Anyway, I like this cape idea, but it might create a warped economy, with a rush to buy supplies. Currently P2P. I don't want the world to see me, 'cause I don't think that they'd understand. Formerly known as: Ghstkill8, Serene Ghst, Genius Goats
October 2, 200619 yr I do believe that there come more lvl 99s out of this update. Because with it, you can simply show off how cool you are. I mean, whats the point in having 99 cooking as you cant show it to anyone, except your friends, but the fun in that expires after a few days... So now there come a reason to train, I think that there comes significantly more people with lvl 99 in skill that are not that hard to max out. Retired.
October 2, 200619 yr Author I was also thinking to start cooking A lot of poeple on my friends said the same thing :-) I won't quote his name, but this was VERY funny, my friend said: Him - You know, I'm going to go for 99 Cooking now Me - Yeah lots of people will be now. Him - Well, I'm level 66 now, so I've got a bit of a headstart. ^ Awesome :) - My skills are now really, really lame ! Time to fix that! -
October 2, 200619 yr I wont start cooking :P - I like my cooking as it is lol I will stay at my goal which is 99 ranged :D 99 ranged | 99 magic | 99 defence | 99 hitpointsRemember, it's just a gameFeel free to add me on RS. :) Always ready for a chat.
October 2, 200619 yr I think it'll depend on how each cape looks. I imagine capes for stuff like 99 fletching or cooking won't look quite as good as ones for 99 slayer or herby, because they're more of an achievement. I'm sure they all might look good though. A 99 is a 99. Not everyone achieved their cooking level of 99 in a week straight of no life cooking with cook-x, and not everyone with 99 fletching did so on rs2. I really don't think theres a single 99 that is "less worthy" as any other. And I don't think the cape for say cooking, would have lava cape stats. Maybe a melee related cape. Jagex said the capes will give boosts in said skill. So I would imagine the cooking cape giving a significant boost to cooking, possibly no burn sharks without gauntlets. (Would be nice to swap for goldsmith)
October 2, 200619 yr Big Question: What is the firemaking cape going to look like if we already have a fire cape? 99 Crafting Blog
October 2, 200619 yr this means i might get 99 mage instead of 94, or 99 range instead of 90, or 99 fletching from 85. ill probably not bother with it though, my fire cape is ok.
October 2, 200619 yr Big Question: What is the firemaking cape going to look like if we already have a fire cape? my guess is it will look more like flames. the firecape look a lot more like lava than it does fire. :-k and if it looks any good i might have to push myself for 99  My Blog2 Visage Drops.Over 1800 Castle Wars Tickets..
October 2, 200619 yr Basically, all my stats are nooby, so i probably won't get a 99 cape anytime soon, not that i'd bother, but i will however, be going for all quest's completed at some point, after getting several skills up 10 or so levels i reckon i can do it.

I find that hard to believe. "Da mihi castitatem et continentam, sed noli modo"
October 2, 200619 yr most impressive capes... runecrafting slayer slightly less impressive...but still good. crafting herblore smithing woodcutting fishing not impressive cooking fletching
October 2, 200619 yr I want my first 99 to be (if i'm still playing to get it) crafting, cause its my favorite skill. But it probably won't. I think your right on this, there will be a massive rush to cook to get the new capes. other skills will see a boost also. lol picture zezima and the other all maxed out characters with all the capes =P~ Click for mah Blog!- I'm not sure why you would though because i never update it Achieved 99 Thieving 3/10/07-992nd to it
October 2, 200619 yr Mine would be 99 mage. and ps. > What happened to Gneral P2P thread a second ago, came up with loads of codes which were like 'Keylogger', 'dont click here' 'runescape cheats', like triple the size of a normal page! weird!
October 2, 200619 yr well i already have 99 wc and fletch, so ill probably be wearing the 99 wc one. Right now im going for 99 fishing and cooking, so ill have those capes in a few motnhs aswell. Im looking forward to that wc cape \ Lastfm
October 2, 200619 yr Massive rush? Raising shark prices? I hope so, catching sharks is my main money maker. No longer playing Runescape, I caught the WoW bug.
October 2, 200619 yr i cant really see capes doing much on fishing and woodcutting, because they supposedly increase stats a little, but if you have 99 fletching....why does it need a boost? lol... if you have 99 of a stat, why do you need a boost? Killed Hobgoblin Champion: 1/28/07 The economy is run by 13 year olds. Inflation hits when their girlfriends dump them. Besides, in any normal economy an influx of new items is a good shot in the arm.
October 2, 200619 yr I think I'll get a black cape, a cape that criminals would wear. I just KNOW my first lvl99 skill WILL be thieving.
