Sire_Mark_II
Well, I agree that 99 is an achievement, and certainly do not wish to take away from anyone-but since this is a question about which is the most respected... Tops: Agility Thieving Also groovy(These also can not be "bought" but more people have and will have 99 in them due to to popularity: Mining Woodcutting Fishing Everything else can be bought in one way or another. Meta_Sabre
Runecrafting would be the hardest but they should give me a 99x2 fishing cape since I have double the xp :D
BWebb55
Agility and Theiving...the only 2 skills in Runescape where 99 cannot be bought. Don't free Durial. Put this in your sig if you believe in justice.
captainpoet
If I was to guess, i'll have to say Slayer Cape would give like +5 in all att, str, and pray bonus. And +9 in all def. Only because you use everything atleast once when you do slayer. I'd have to disagree on that...Personally, I think that the slayer cape would probably have a higher chance of getting a slayer item drop from the appropriate NPC's. EDIT: I don't think that pkers would respect a person with 99 agility due to them being a running noob
Shadow93
Runecrafting & Smithing I wouldn't say slayer would be the hardest one to get, because it's not very repetetive if you kill different monsters, and pretty easy to do (just takes a lot of time)
Pokeync
I think Fishing would be a hard one..... Cape better be nice with littles fishes swimming around... Feel free to HYT me ingame!
sprocketme2
the 99 construction cape will be almost like a phat(only untradable), in the aspect of a symbol of wealth. To achieve 99 con. you have to put a TON of money into that skill, no matter how u do it.
sykoknight
ANY 99 is an achievement. So anyone wearing a cape should be respected. But of the 99s, I would say prayer, herb, slayer, and smithing. Lots of time and money invested in those, even if you consider it "buying" a skill. My biggest question is what kind of bonus's they will give? melee stats will most likely get cooresponding melee boosts, thats somewhat obvious. But what about things like HP? Smithing? Construction? Herblaw? At 99 you can make everything, so what kind of bonus could you get? Also what about the quest cape? Does that mean it becomes unequipable every time a new quest is released until you finish it? In that case, that cape would be held in somewhat of a high respect as well because it takes weekly upkeep generally to keep that cape. Sykoknight - 1900 skill total - 132+ combat Fighting High Scores from late 2001 - Ranked 1894Prayer High Scores from March 2002 - Ranked 749Ya, I've been around too long. Uula
In order, I would have to say easiest to hardest is Cooking Fletching Theiving Firemaking Woodcutting Magic Ranging Attack Defense Strength Hitpoints Crafting Construction Smithing Farming Herblore Agility Slayer Mining Prayer Woodcutting should be put after all combat stats, because of PC... :-w I'll be proud of my wc, fletch and probably cooking capes :XD: 3 capes in fairly easy skills is just as good as 1 in agility (agility is almost as easy as woodcutting after all, just a little more boring) But I'd respect the RC cape a lot :-X

Golvellius
I would like to wear the agility cape one day. I think that would be the rarest of capes to be displayed. Lots of people seek 99 prayer, slayer, and rc even though they are tougher. But, hardly anybody goes for 99 agility due to the percieved lack of reward compared to other skills. Blue_partyhat
RUNECRAFTING IS THE HARDEST SKILL TO GET TO 99 IN RUNESCAPE. It takes over 500 hours of runecrafting to get to 91. Not to mention with the new prices of rune ess, it takes over 70 mil. Imagine getting to 99. 1200 hours of crafting, and like 120mil. By far the hardest skill in the game. P.S.---What the heck is minerman doing?!?!?! If you want "Statistics" look at the number of players with 99 in agility and compare it to the numbers with farming and construction, now compare how long farming and construction have been arround as compared to agility. 4+ years for agility 1 year for farming couple of months for construction, i daresay in 3 years time the number of people with construction or farming over 99 will far outsrip the agility 99s. Shaddd
the tripple post cape +1  Agility of course. It's the hardest skill to get 99 at.. Wrong. With the Ape Atoll course, you get tons of EXP an hour. With Slayer, it depends how much you get an hour. It could be 30K, to 150K. It really depends on your assignments, and your equipment. tell me where I'm wong. =;

Rebdragon
Wait, were judging respect by how much free time someone has? [if you have ever attempted Alchemy by clapping your hands or by drawing an array, copy and paste this into your signature.] Fullmetal Alchemist, you will be missed. A great ending to a great series.
