tripsis
i would say slayer because it can't be bought and you actually have to try and get it, as opposed to skills like cooking Well technically you can buy hundreds of thousands of cannonballs to make it much easier/faster. But yes, it still takes time. If you weren't lucky enough to have rares to trade in for cannonballs, cannoning all tasks is less and less affordable. Anyone trying for 85 much less 99 slayer today without disposable rares for ammo will have a long and hard goal ahead ofthem. Even if they have all the knowledge to efficiently slay them. Also even if you have money, cannonballs only speed up tasks by 20-30 minutes and in the end no matter what you put in much more effort than many other skills on your way to the 99. You guys are definately taking what I said the wrong way... I'm not saying that being able to spend money on cannonballs will get you 99 slayer in a month.. Because I know that's not going to happen. I'm just trying to throw out the idea that there are minor ways in which large amounts of gp can increase the amount of xp you get per hour. As previously said, the skill is not completely buyable.. It does require a lot of time and effort. But having a lot of gp to buy cannonballs with can definately speed up the process. No, its just that its always the average statted low levels who run off at the mouth who are trying to claim that our skill is less impressive when they have no idea how much effort went into it. Other than Zezima, who is a beast, nobody else dared continue on with slayer once they got 85, as the whips were just too profitable. It took almost a year and a half for people to start maxing the skill. Me personally, and I only cannoned when I could afford it, it took me a LONG time to max the skill. It definitely isn't buyable as you are letting on. I wrote the book on it and the only slayer tasks that are overly affected by a cannon is Dagganoths, and Kalphites. For all my other suggested spots it is just some additional luxury but in the end really doesnt speed anything up to the point where it becomes effortless, or in your words, buyable. Those that earned it don't really like a low level telling them that they bought their levels. The more you talk, the more noobs believe you, and the more people will be unimpressed because some eloquent low level said it was a buyable skill on Tip.it. The only impressive totally buyable skill will be Prayer. The impressive unbuyables will be Slayer>Agility>Mining. Any skill cape, even fletching, will be an awesome display and Im glad they are coming out. Instead of sticking your nose up at certain people for whatever reason, appreciate that they put in the time an effort to attain the highest level for whatever skill they display. \ However, I'm not "letting on" that it's buyable. I never flat out said, "Slayer is a buyable skill." All I said, or even implied was that with the assistance of gp, the skill can become easier and slightly faster. People were saying that Slayer was the most impressive because there are no ways in which money can assist you or affect the amount of xp you get. I simply wanted to say that there are small ways in which money can affect the amount of xp you get. Again, I am not trying to say that the skill is buyable. I'm just showing that there are some aspects of the skill in which money can be of assistance. - 99 fletching | 99 thieving | 99 construction | 99 herblore | 99 smithing | 99 woodcutting - - 99 runecrafting - 99 prayer - 125 combat - 95 farming - - Blog - DeviantART - Book Reviews & Blog
mmomeet
I would personally like one for rc or agility but I think all the nubs will go mad for the 99 str capes... -.-
Sumpta
Again, I am not trying to say that the skill is buyable. I'm just showing that there are some aspects of the skill in which money can be of assistance. Which is, incidentally, true of all the skills, unbuyable or not, if you think about it. The ultimate unbuyable skill is often said to be agility. But you have agility potions and (super) energy potions to speed up the process. Excellent food will help you to thieve more efficiently. Fishing pots will aid in fishing. Sooooo, ultimately, according to this reasoning, money plays its part in every single skill! (I still think agility, thieving and slayer are the most impressive 99 skills. But then again, I'm also getting tired of the cape discussions. I hope the update will be soon...) Robert_Rdam
Thieving, Construction (because few people have 99) Farming and RuneCraft. :) And maybe all Quest-Cape, because low levels can get one as well. Credits to Skully Sc for the signature. farcry2
Personally i think it depends on where you are... Reticked
I believe the most respected capes will be: Prayer, Farming, Herblore Because they take money, time and effort to do. The least respected will be fletching, because you will still be in around 4,500th place when you reach 99. I will get 99 firemaking ownage, which i am working on now by woodcutting until 99. (9 levels to go for both) firemaking cape should be cool, like a fire cape except it has flames and not lava-like things. 189th to achieve "100" firemaking

tripsis
Farming, go on just look how many people have 99 farming.Doesn't mean its hard just means people aren't dropping that amount of money into it. exactly, I calced iut and it cost around 60-100mil on willow trees. It really depends on which way you look at it, in my opinion. The actual farming skill itself is easy.. Assuming you do trees and/or herbs all the way, there is very little effort required. Plant a few times a day, check health and do something else in the meantime. Takes like an hour tops. However, for many people, making the money that is required for 99 farming can be difficult. It's like saying, "Construction is easy. The only reason why very few people have it, is because nobody wants to spend that much money on one skill." Sure, that is the case in many situations (people who already have the money for it, I mean). But there are hundreds of people out there, I'm sure, who would like to have 99 construction, yet the process of making ~110m is difficult for them. Same thing with farming, prayer, etc.. - 99 fletching | 99 thieving | 99 construction | 99 herblore | 99 smithing | 99 woodcutting - - 99 runecrafting - 99 prayer - 125 combat - 95 farming - - Blog - DeviantART - Book Reviews & Blog
palli
imho i think hardest is mining, agility, thieving because you cant buy exp for this skills slayer is second because you travel al the world, not only one location and u can half buy exp with cannon, or guthan, super sets, or other stuff herblore, prayer, rc, smithing, are all about money if you have 100M + it isnt very hard like mining or agility fishing, wc are afk skills, so it isnt so boring and the easiest are fletching and cooking cooking is fastest skil ever next is prayer, yes prayer is very fast, but u need much money fletching is fast too, but stringing may be boring
Seanthorn
Smithing and Mining. Oh, and don't forget Herblore... Least, i hate people with Quest Capes on. For me, it isn't a big achievement.
Idarodo
I believe that you're allowed to look at the dates of posts. :anxious: The most rare/hard to get and therefore the most respected ones are herblore, farming, runecrafting, slayer, agility and construction. Well, construction is costly, that is for sure. 6,521th to 99 woodcutting | Fletching 98/99 | Idarodo | Combat 90 | Total 1565+ | 38m+ total exp Retired. nofxfl1
All skills except maybe theiving can be bought in their own way. mining/fishing ect. you can hire runners when you are powering that trust you, and are fast at trading. Agility is probably the second least, but their is super energy pots which can help a bit if you have time to run and drink. Has to be Theiving and agility for the fact they don't provide you with much rewards, besides the energy restoration fact. But it seems that hunter takes the longest to level. Chocobodude0
Prayer, herblore, slayer, farming, agility, thieving, hunter, runecrafting, smithing, and smelting are all very hard to obtain. I don't see myself getting any of them, actually (So I'll just have to prove myself wrong : ). Gratz to everybody who's been able to nab one or more of these capes, you are more patient a person than I. =D>
Larsie538
slayer definetly, its the slowest skill in the game, farming is more boring to raise tho.
