jessy87
The capes COULD release new things to do in the skills, so it's still fun once your 99 or something.. over lvl 100 smithable items? maybe... unlikely tho.
Raven6666
They will just probably increase the exp you get, like for example, 150 fishing exp for a shark, or 11 exp for runecrafting a law. I was thinking about the same lines, BUT if they did increase exp. per /item/, what use would it have at a max level unless they are going to boost the cap. Severation
I'm thinking.. cooking cape + cooking gauntlets = no burnt sharks? :-k you already stop burning sharks @ 94 cooking with the guantlets, so why would you need a cape and gaunts? because I'm stupid. #-o
linnea338
you get more exp when cooking? its hard as a f2pp to get exp from lobs lol check ma main //henrik338
j00b
it will probably increase the amount of xp you get , but then again..that would be pointless if your already 99 in a stat... but who cares...just having an animated cape will be cool , to show off your skills \ 1103'rd to 99 crafting830th to 99 herblore~!~ Master Merchant ~!~
Anthonymagus
I doubt it would be exp or even raising level like some say  since that would be completely useless But tons of the things suggested are probably going o be in them, for the combat stats it's obvious and the ohter just help you get more out of that certain skill. But i do think an extra nat pre rune like some said would ruin the economy, something like auto crafting the ess in your pouches would be very usefull but not unbalancing. Deiophobus
Its like how farming boots give a farming bonus. It isn't shown, but it still gives the bonus. With fishing, you probably will fish faster, yeah. Even if they don't give a big bonus, theyll be fun to wear to show off you're 99 stat! . Anthonymagus
These do not affect your farming ability or the growth of your crops in any way. They are currently only worn for decorative purposes. Straight out of the manual the farming boots are just good for looks. (yes i know this isn't the best mage outfit anymore but it was when i made the sig)Proud owner of quest cape. virtualchoirboy
As we all know, a number of recent updates have been improvements to the game engine and scripting language. Perhaps they are considering removal of the 99 max level limit and opening up the higher end? If you take the formula for XP vs Lvl and apply it to the 200 mil max xp, you get lvl 126. Of course, with skills at 126, combat would now max out around 160. This would expand the game immensely and even give the top 10 ranked players something to work on again. In this scenario, special capes at 99 giving a boost would help those players striving for triple digit skills and make it more than just bragging rights. Before you flame me, yes, I'm probably way off base on this one, but I still think it's an interesting idea.
petey
att, str, def, prayer, mage + range = bonus +, hp...maybe makes you have +5 on your 99 hp =] mining, fishing, woodcutting = faster collecting? farming = bigger yeild theiving, cooking, agility = less failing or more xp? runecraft, smithing, crafting, fletching, construction = more xp? *** all? more things made for same materials?* slayer = more xp? maybe a much higher rate of drops? reward all those 99 slayers =] herblore = more xp? maybe even if they are low lvl unids some may be high lvl? maybe makes all pots (4)? just some ideas.... *like say you have 120 ess, normally it would make 120 natures, maybe it would work 180? maybe half of what you made is added on =] Which Final Fantasy Character Are You?Final Fantasy Currently Listening To ~ Hotel California / The Eagles
alex92100
How about the "effects" being the ability to morph your cape. A bit like a patchwork cape. Maybe also a money patch, e.g. it costs 1mil to buy the patch. Money drains ftw!!!!! I say its time for some stat resets... who's with me!Stat reset? :uhh: Noooooooo! *Grabs levels and hugs them* MIIINE! MIIINE! :ohnoes: mmmm...... lol :p Woow, Jagex made a typo, let's hate them now. Reticked
Yeah, it's probably just increase in speed you can do the skill, or give exp bonuses. But for combat stats it'd give something to the effect of a black mask, except it doesn't run out. For firemaking, you will be allowed to burn down PLAYERS for exp. I wish. 189th to achieve "100" firemaking
Kenshinjapan
also as i said, why would you need a boost, when your already 99?? doesnt make too much sence. But i do like the overall idea 200m xp in prayer...nuff said 8-) YOU! ATTEND TET EVENTS! CLICK HERE!
Who
I'm guessing increase would be something like... Agility - Cape that makes you weigh less Attack - +10 all attack stats Cooking - Cook without a fire or stove, like superheat item using operate Construction - Reduce amount of Gold leaf, Marble block, Magic stones needed Crafting - Cape of tools (Chisel, needle, thread, moulds, etc with operate) Defence - +20 all defence stats Farming - Improved Nature amulet (Check all the patches at once) Firemaking - Fires may start without wasting a log Fishing - Chance of catching more then one fish (Like big net) Fletching - Bow may be made without wasting the log Herblore - 4 dose potions made =P~ Magic - Element cape (Air, water, earth or fire, only one at a time) Mining - Chance of getting 2 ores per rock Prayer - +10 prayer boost Ranged - Carries various arrows (Like bolt pouch) Runecrafting - Double Laws =P~ Slayer - All monsters (Except Dangerous beasts) are not aggresive Smithing - 100% iron purity Thieving - Pickpockets never fail Woodcutting - Chance of getting more then one log My ideas are based on logic. I mean with 99 slayer, all monsters would fear you, and double laws only make sense. Can't improve on herblore much so why not 4 dose potions? And the resouce capes, at 99 you should be getting more then one at a time anyways . Why would a master thief get caught. A master smither would not need a ring for pure iron. captianant
who le ow, that would be amazering if the 99 stat capes could do that! I would actually have to no lyphe a 99! :ohnoes: :uhh: Sodb ForumStop thinking. It's Runescape.
icedearth06
Maybe what they mean by adding bonus' to somethings is only for things that use bonus' such as prayer, defence, but then it could also add some bonus' like firemaking.. makes logs light faster? But what would be the point in it all if your stats are already 99? Maybe they will add things to the ones that dont really use bonuses and like smithing/smelting cape, something like superheat item? If they make it so you can get vials out of capes in a herblore cape just for an example. Personally i think that'd be sorta stupid, or possibly have a 30min time limit or something like the new lumbridge tele thing. More Tip.it Friends Needed! Who
99 means you went crazy getting it, so it better be worth it, and besides, my ideas are neither too good or too bad : The Complete MTA Handbook | Runecrafting Pouch Analysis | Mobilizing Armies Locator Index
Rebdragon
99 means you went crazy getting it, so it better be worth it, and besides, my ideas are neither too good or too bad : True. I'd love that Magic Cape, and this is probably debatable, but could one wear the elemental cape while weilding the staff of another element? Free missile spells (except for the minds, chaos, deaths, bloods) would be great, it's just hard to figure out if that could be abused in some way. Eh, it'd rock though  . nutter1988
I have noticed alot of ppl think that the new capes will b just a bonus to ur skill eg, minin cape wuould b similar to haveing 105 mining or something like that. Honestly i would b very disapointed wit jagex if thats how it turns out. I wana c something new and imaginative wit the new capes! Eg. Prayer cape, enables more than 1 protect spell to b used at a time. Maybe the attack cape makes ur spec recover quicker. Things like that. Not simply like having a higher lvl in that skill.
