Rebdragon
it will be alot more because people will work hard on getting 99 in a skill No, not really. They'll all be pumped to get a 99 cape, then a week later, after gnawing away their skin to the bone from clicking, common sense will hit them  . 99 doesn't get any easier just because a cape came out for it  . marlin85
You forgot quest capes. #-o There isn't a way to check how much people have finished every single quest... But there is a way to narrow it down. The hardest skill to get is 55 Herblore for Fairy Tale II: Cure A Queen. So at the very most, there are 58,669 people with a quest cape. I thought requirement was 57? or can you use like a pot or something to raise it? PS: I haven't done it yet because of that requirement. :XD me neither

FuBai
keep the last graph on the same scale as the two above otherwise it is slightly missleading. Secondly it is impossible to calculate the increase in the increase of 99 skills - by that I mean you can't determine the rate of people clocking 99's now with the rate they were clocking them 1 year ago, thus making it very hard to conclude with certanity that more people went for 99's to get capes as a consequence of the announcment. It seems to me you would also need to factor in the number of new players in these calculations as a distortion factor (as the numbers of 99's may increase, but may stay constant per head of population, showing no real increase) but that would only provide real distortion over quite a long period of time (I think :ohnoes:. It depends on the increase rate of the rs population) Otherwise interesting in two ways - firstly the increase was generaly along the lines I expected and experienced (although we can only vaguley guess what the exact rate increase was), and that you would choose to study it. tripsis
Interesting idea.. But I really don't think something like this could be very accurate.. Why? It doesn't take into account various updates that could make training a certain skill easier/quicker, and therefore attract more attention to it, and therefore bring in more 99s. Things like that.. But you did put a lot of effort into this post which is impressive :) - 99 fletching | 99 thieving | 99 construction | 99 herblore | 99 smithing | 99 woodcutting - - 99 runecrafting - 99 prayer - 125 combat - 95 farming - - Blog - DeviantART - Book Reviews & Blog
