Sorta Losing Interest In Runescape...

Honestly..the best thing to do (it's what I do at times) is to stop playing for a bit. Don't give anything away...don't say your quitting...just don't sign on for a bit. Make a noob, I have fun with those..Do other things, in real life, I mean. Then, after a while, usually after a good update, you might find that you like the game and want to come back. That's what happened with me, anyways. The need for my Santa hat back also helps, but..that's besides the point..Also, I would try setting some goals (not like 99 everything, but like to raise a couple fishing levels, or attack levels, or something). This is what I do, I hope it helps you, too.

I haven't played in over a month, and you don't see me making a topic about it. Jagex themselves are having terrible updates lately. Just wait it out and they'll readdict you eventually.

My philosophy is don't look at runescape like a permanent part of your life. It's not like you're 'on' or 'off' runescape, 'active' or 'quit.' Don't create that weird mentality for yourself.

This is my main rule I go by: If you feel like playing, log on. It's really that simple. Don't dramatize it.

I remember you making a post earlier that I also agreed with, and here once again you've done the same thing. This is what I was aiming to say, however I said it more angrily because I'm sick of these kinds of posts.

Log on if you want to play, don't make Runescape feel like a part of your life - such as brushing your teeth.

Was it this post I made about a month ago?:

Why do you even create that kind of mentality for yourself? If you feel like playing runescape, log on. What else matters?

my advice:

Put about 3 mil into your kingdom (Royal Trouble) and take a month long break. Do some fun stuff, do active stuff, go build a better mousetrap, anything that DOESNT have to do with runescape. When you come back, everything will probably seem new and cool to you.

worked for me lol

Hey man if you ever get too bored i can teach you how to pk (real pking not amature 8-) ) , or we can just hang out with you in game, add runit3hunt3r.

The best thing to do is not worry about skills you dont like, focus on the ones you do, if you dont like something dont force yourself to do it to get ahead.

Im 110 combat with a skill total of 1355 a lot of people say this is bad, but im never bored of rs whereas these people with 1700 skill total constantly tell me how bored they are.

I have been members for 3 years and im only 41 agility, not having the agility may hinder my progress but it doesnt hinder the fun i have, sooner or later genie lamps will get it there :)

Thats the way to play, only do something you enjoy, dont let the game drag you down, and dont for a minute think you have to strive to get ahead, play the game at your own pace and you will find its much more enjoyable.

I probably made very little sense but im drunk atm so i got an excuse, hit me up anytime for staking or pking tips, couse thats the only things im truly good at.

man, ive quit now, its old, its boring, and i might quit these forums, but that's a doubt.

i'll only play for holiday events, and such, but the new update where all the stuff is 'refurbished' , its abit babyish, lame and for little children to ruin all fun, man its a hate =;

Just stop playing rs like everyone else. Most people play to level. Many of them train one stat. For example : George has 70 fletching and he wants 99 - so he buys the stuff and trains fletching constantly until he is 99. <-- BIG mistake. What he should do is train fletching to 71 or 72 and then move onto another skill. That way things dont get old as fast and it makes the game much more enjoyable.

Quests also seem to bring some enjoyment into the game, providing you do them without quest guides.

Yep, CW is the best thing in this game for me too- It's fun and challenging (P2P is the only challenge in the game, yes I DK, it's painfully easy), but there's no losing items, as is in Pking or Staking.

Some people say if you think of quitting, or being inactive, buy a rare (if you're rich enough). You can always buy what you had before with it. and it appreciates in value while you're away. Just a thought.

Me, I'm saving for a santa hat or a mask. that way I can rest from runescape for awhile. it's lost the "magic" it had when I was a little newbie chopping willows on my first day.

It has temporarily regained some of it's interest though. maybe it'll make a resurgance for a few months (maybe even another year) before it goes dead.
