October 12, 200619 yr So you guys know, it would be stupid for google to NOT have bought youtube. They paid what...1.6 billion for it? Well, the first day of stock trading after that, their stocks went up by about 5%...basically, they gained 6 billion in stock value. It was a no-brainer for google. Not to mention they only traded 1.6 billion in stocks, not cash. Youtube should still be the same as we've been used to (mostly). There is to my mind, very little to hate large companies for, on the contrary, a lot of reasons to love them. I personally, don't care - but I know a lot of people who are passionately opposed to Wal Mart for good reasons. I have yet to hear anyone provide good reasons as to why they dislike Google... Google has yet to sacrifice the quality of its services for quality, the reports on employee treatment are absolutely fantastic, and they bring a lot of very useful features to average people for free. Yes, they are a large company that owns a lot of things and will probably continue to buy things and expand - but until they sacrifice the essence of Google I don't see a problem the company unless you're just hate Google to "be cool." It kind of goes back to what Mad said. She believes that this could be one of the first steps of Google leaving what makes Google, Google - the innovation of the company - and moving towards another type of company that just acquires other people's ideas. That is a great reason to express concern/dislike for Google. It's intelligent and reasonable.

October 12, 200619 yr That is one hell of business venture - Youtube only started in February last year according to the BBC, to go from that to being sold for 1.6 Billion dollars is absolutely unbelievable! However, saying that, Google only celebrated it's 8th birthday last month and it is worth $80 Billion on the stock market. Now THAT is insane! Its founders hold around 7.2 Billion each, and the company emplys over 8000 workers with an annual net income of 1.25 Billion dollars. Ever felt poor? Yeah, they earn alot of money. But look how many sponsored adverts and google adverts are on the internet. With all of that, how can they NOT make money? Google Video videos have crappy quality compared to YouTube's. Have you noticed when you play a Google Video that it fits the window? YouTube doesn't do that. Just make the window you are playing a Google Video in smaller. I thought that was obvious. @_@ Youtube should still be the same as we've been used to (mostly). But anyways, literally just about nothing is going to change because they're even keeping their own offices; They only made a brief press release about it on the site. The advertising budgets aren't really something any network marketer can just get into either; The lowest budget to advertise on YouTube seems to be $25,000. And they'll probably treat you as a class-b advertiser with the minimum sum.

Or use the videodownloader extension for FFI download them for my ipod and theres tons of videos that i wanted from youtube but it was too difficult to convert them (the only method i found involved like 3 programs and about 5 convertions, didnt want to bother lol)

I like RuneScape but I believe it could be greatly improved upon in terms of quality/graphics. The interface is average, imo. This is Off Topic. 75% of us here don't play runescape anymore. A lot of us haven't played it in years.
