Quest's, whats your stance?

Featured Replies

I am a mix between b and c. I love to do quests and the satisfaction of doing a hard quest without a guide. If its an easy short quest I will usually use a guide. I started to not like doing guides after I did RFD without one and got the satisfaction.

When I do quests I used to wait for the guide to come out and then do it so that I could follow the guide step by step. But lately I have been trying my hand at it first and only going to the guide if I get to a point where I am so stuck that there is no way I am going to be able to figure it out on my own. And I have been able to do a couple of quests since then without having to look at a guide once. \'

I find quests just as fun with or without the guides, but when I use the guides I don't die 5 times over, so...

The only thing I hate about quests is walking, that's why I use a guide. Walking up and down 5 times only to bring the wrongpiece of equipment(for climbing down a hole for example) isn't ecactly my idea of fun.

Plus I think the whole teenage girl thing will end soon (hopefully), because my girlfriend is absolutely in love with him(she is 18), and im beginning to feel threatened by his [Justin Bieber] dashing looks.

When I want to do a quest the very first thing I do is open up a Tip.It guide. They're awesome and I hate quests...Tip.It makes them SO much easier.

227 quest points, can't wait for my cape \'

I use guides because it frustates me when you have to walk somewhere really far and you end up having to walk all the way to the bank because of something small like a knife.

If I didn't get a chance to do a quest the day it comes out I will use a guide to find out what objects I need. I will also use a guide if I am truley stuck. There have been times in the past where I have really used a guide to get through quests. Usually my goal wasn't quest oriented and I was after bonus xp or something. But in general I try to figure out quests as much as I can, but if I get frustrated I don't hesitate to use a guide.

I hate quests and only do the impotant ones :wall: Every quest with guide takes 5 times as long than it should. I do not see how a quest could be fun. <.<

People like you annoy me. I feel quests are are an important part of the game and a fun part. They're not as fun if you use a step by step guide. Maybe if you tried not using a guide which i've been saying throughout this thread, you might find it more fun? There is more to the game than simply gaining hiscore positions, this is part of it. Basically don't knock something that you have never properly tried.

Ive tried that but it just never seems interesting to me, thats all :x

Happy to find I'm not the only one who eats glass.

Travelling halfway across the world to some deserted area, only to be told you need to walk all the way back to pick up some item you didn't bring in the first place, is incredibly annoying. If quests were just about the mental challenge, most of the time i'd be happy doing them alone, but wasting time trecking around for items really doesn't appeal to me so i only do quests with guides.

In a little hilltop village they gambled for my clothes

I bargained for salvation and they gave me a lethal dose

I offered up my innocence, I got repaid with scorn

"Come in'', she said, "I'll give you shelter from the storm"

I have to admit it that I do use quest guides a lot. I don't just do quests for rewards and I aim to comp;ete all quests when I have the skills. Me and my friend has an inset day when elemental shield came out, we were one of the first on our world to be wearing the mind gear.

I did feal proud of myself after completing mourning ends part 2, even though I used a guide.

im another person who actualy genuinly enjoys quests i only tend to use quest guides if i get seriously annoyed in a quest or stuck...when i get my quest cape i feel it will be more worthwile than the people who got theirs by using guide

i know i have used the guides but at least i know i put a lot of effort into doing quests like people who get lvl 99 in a skill achieve it through hard work

Everything seems to be much more fun and enjoyable when you don't use guides. The few guides I used just confused me even more. *Coughernestthechickenrscguidecough*

The only things I need to know are the minimum requirements and the starting location.

Quests are probably my favorite aspects of the game. I wouldn't want to make it dull by using step-by-step guides.

I normally use the quests for only three things:

1) Get the items required before I start the quest (I don't want to travel around the world several times in the middle of a quest)

2) If I get too stuck

3) To see if there are any strong monsters

This signature is intentionally left blank.

I loved the quests when I played Rs. I always tryed to complete them before the guides came out, except the hard quests like ME part 2. They were something else then the boring clicking skills.

If you're going to start a discussion on some aspect of the game, perhaps you should attempt to hold an unbiased viewpoint in regards to this aspect. Instead of a discussion, you seem to be selling that we shouldn't use Tip It's quest guides. I for one find quests very enjoyable and most of the time hilarious, yet I use guides every time because some quests take 2+ hours to finish as it is.

I wasn't talking down to him because he was a friendly person that challenged me politely, he was quite sarcastic and dismissed the possibility of ever working anything out for himself. It just irritates me that a paticular part of the game that isn't so simple and recquires thought process instead of just mindlessly clicking needs a guide. I'm not saying you shouldn't use a guide because I tell you but because it's the only part of the game that is different to the skills, apart from pking that is. Then again I guess some people enjoy clicking step by step everything they need to complete a quest, personally I hate that.

I always use a guide unless the next section of the quest is pretty straight-forward

Strangely with WotLK so near, I wished I could delay it a bit to push through that last TBC content in MH/BT :'(.

I use a guide always.. I'm only interested in the award, and doing something unique. But using a guide doesn't make the quest any less fun.. to me anyway.
