Higher lvl players deserve updates more than you, since they've been playing and paying much longer. There are 800,000 members Those 700k ppl who can't build it obviously have no reason to, since all it takes is really 1-2 hours of power-constructing. If you do everything yourself it takes 1 day max, so don't cry about it. It's a worthwhile update, it recognizes those who have taken the time to get 99 in a skill. For the construction room, it allows plays to free up a LOT of bank space. I'd gladly give a month of updates just to improved banking and more bank space... People need to learn that the quality of one update isn't something to rant about, there will always be more... I myself logged into RS yesterday for the first time in almost 2 months. I'm sure im not the only person who is still a paying member that doesnt play lol. I like being a member for the rare occassions that I do have time to get on. Also ALOT of people have multiple accounts as members, one of those accounts being their main, and the other being their pure. They will be concerned with the capes and room pretty much for their main only (unless they have a mid 90s str pure or something). So theres another HUGE chunk of those members who dont want/care about the cape. 1-42 construction is easily done in a day, there is no reason you shouldnt be able to get 42 construction. And if you cant afford the little bit of money it takes to get to 42, then theres is absolutely no way you are close to running out of bank space yet, so it serves you no gret purpose anyways. I'd love to see how your oppinion on things changes if you play enough to reach a high level. You just think everything should be catored to your level. Not a lot of people have 42 construction to build the room. Sounds like the only good update is the bug fixes this week. And Jagex said October would be a fun month? One of the 4999 who wants to complain about the update. Geez, just cos your level 5 and can't get a 99 skill, there for players who are questers etc Amen. Credits to Skully Sc for the signature. But I have to admit that I was a bit disappointed when I built one and tried to store my collections in there. - The storage only accepts 1 of each item. Therefore it wont be a solution to the bankspace all out frog masks, prince outfits, shade robes etc take up. This holds for spare splitbark and other armors too; only 1 set allowed in your closet... - The interface of the storage is somewhat cumbersome to say the least. I expected a kind of banking interface (or specialty store showing the items you can put in there with count 0) but we got the make-your-flatpacked- furnature interface. The so called "noobs" got more than enughf stuff to do, and long before they have finished all the things they can do, they are becomming high level players and are craving for high level stuff. hamgod316 Posted October 19, 2006 Share Posted October 19, 2006 I think the new update is great. The only cape I can get is the quest cape and that's if I suck it up and finish ME2. I think it's great that Jagex is coming out with an update for higher levels because they do deserve it. Also, the costume room is an update for everyone. I'm only 52 construction but I was able to build every hotspot in the room and clear up some space. I don't have 42 construction either (1 atm lol), but i think the updates make the game better, even if you can't enjoy them yet. The capes are awesome, we've been screaming for 99 capes for years now. Its great they took everyones idea, and they did a great job. (Except that the extra stat boost is only temporary) And the new room is fantastic. People have some bank room now! I have 8 new cape/hood items, and still have gained bank space. And now I get to keep all the outfits from randoms. Now that I've dropped countless mime outfits, I'll never get anymore. lol. Anywaaaaaay, this update was fantastic. I totally disagree with this topic. A circus in Runescape?? Oh my. REMEMBER RUNESCAPE KARMA! I'm lvl 61 construction and with tea and the crystal saw can build at lvl 66 so my stuff in the costume room is all teak except for the toy box, which doesn't matter. In the closet you store your costumes in, I put in my prince outfit.. the legs and tunic.. but now when I withdraw it, I get the princess outfit.. as pictured. So when it was time to store my bobble hats and scarfs from last christmas I only put in the ones pictured (the browwn ones I think). I was afraid if I put the other ones in I would lose them. eloi44 Posted October 20, 2006 Share Posted October 20, 2006 *giggles at the pissed off noob* anyway skill capes are great, def of obby cape, with +4 prayer (if u have it trimmed) so now i can pk, fight hard monsters, etc. etc. etc., with a cape that costs 99k instead of obby cape which is considerably more than that, and it has better stats! no more using legends and god capes for dangerous areas where you dont want to use your fire cape! :) and 42 cons isnt that hard to get, if sombody wants the room then they can rather cheaply get there, and the combat potions are very useful, and october isnt even over...
