Being emo is like eating junk food. You don't get any advantages and you still hurt yourself.

Will you be my best friend (and help me nuke some emo hangouts)?

I smack the crap out of you if you come near me and my friends with a nuke :P You could pretty much consider me an emo without the clothes/make-up. (I guess I do have the girl pants and tight t-shirts..)

Depends on your attitude. Do you come from a generally good background, yet still hate life and want to kill yourself? In that case, I pity you.

If you just like the music, then whatever. Just don't make me listen to it.

I come from a decent background. I love the music and the fashion. Oh and yes, I am depressed. But guess what? I'm not the stereotypical emo and go around showing it off. I cover it up with a smile and do my best to try to cheer others up or help them with their problems. And no, I'm not suicidal. Yes, I've cut myself (no, not slit my wrists.. I carved a nifty little symbol into my arm) but that was because my depression was at its worst and that mixed with extreme boredom and some problems I'd rather not discuss. Pity me if you will, I'll live my life how I want.

Yeah...as long as we don't have to see your emotions out on display on a daily basis, think/listen to whatever you want.

Metal fans, check out my band!

Heh, lucky for you I'm one of those people who thinks guys shouldn't show many emotions. ;)

From what I heard it sounded like a cheap rip off of Queen while trying to cash in on Green Days recent popularity with their 'rock opera'. Still, atleast it's not Panic! at the disco. Next Radiohead my ass

So you're saying pretty much everyone is an emo?

What's with all of these cheap shots at emos lately? Honestly, do you want a new segregation or something?

Supermonk, proving you wrong since 1992.

Supermonk rocks, I want to have his children.

Music is like candy. You always get rid of the rapper.

I haven't heard the album. I like the title of the single though. I don't like the artwork too much. I guess I'll try and give it a spin tomorrow.

Don't like them? Don't post. This is for a discussion about the new album (though it got a little off topic wit hte emo subject) but if you hate a band then don't come into an area full of fans and flame them. If you said that to me, face to face, you'd find yourself flat on the ground. I don't put up with punks like you hating bands + their fans then stereotyping all of their fans. I can promise you, we'll never be friends. I'm pretty sure I'm not a nerd, I'm definitly not a little kid, I don't want to commit suicide/slit my wrists, I don't wear make-up, and I'm not like a girl. WOAH! I just proved you completely wrong. GTFO and go burn in hell you little b*.

Yeah, he pissed me off and I won't put up with bulls* like this from some little punk who acts tough because he can't get punched while he's hiding behind his computer.

*calm again* Heh, I'm going to be almost nobody on here has even seen me mad. Yeah, I do have anger problems and but I keep them under wraps until something pisses me off too badly (like this loser) and then all my old anger spills out with it..

I think this was probably the first MCR song I've heard, and I was surprised because to me it just sounded like ordinary ska? Minus the trumpets. Isn't "emo" supposed to be depressing? Sounded pretty upbeat to me... Anyway, and since I really don't find anything appealing about ska, this just isn't good music to me.

Oh yeah, don't waste your time answering my questions, because honestly... I don't care.

If you don't care, don't post. It's just spam if you don't want to contribute to the conversation. Stereotypically, emo music is supposed to be depressing but not all of it is. And appearently you've only listened to 'Welcome To The Black Parade' because some of the songs on the album, 'The Black Parade', are pretty depressing. 'Mama' is about how we all die and are all going to hell. 'Cancer' is about dieing from cancer (you probably could have figured that out on your own :P).

I'm not emo but I still like the song

How is it spam? The topic was about the song or the album "The Black Parade", and I commented on the song. Just because a part my post had a rhetorical question in it, does not make my post spam, and just because you did not like what I said about the song, does not make my post spam. And in all fairness, you're not exactly a person that should comment on whether other peoples' posts are spam or not.

2009rb9.jpg

I like the song, actually I like most of what they've put out there.

I'm not emo though, I wouldn't go and buy their album, I dont listen to their music because of the depressing lyrics I just like the sound of the songs, if I've contridicted myself there, I didn't mean to :P.

But yeah, if it's on the radio, I'll turn it up, but I'm not rushing to the stores to buy the album.

Sorry about this.

Last night was the year 12 final disco and they played the song. After then slow part finished and he started getting into it everyone started screaming "WHEN I WAS, I YOUNG BOY, MY FATHER TOOK ME INTO etc...

It was awesome. And no, our school is not emo.

That song blows, and it's just like the rest of their stuff. It repeats over and over, and he has the most obnoxious voice ever.

I don't understand how they got the song to last over 5 minutes, I could only get through 1 though...

Ghost: I am prejudice towards ignorance, so that would explain why I appear to be so.

I'll listen to Welcome to the Black Parade, so I can hate them in a more informed manner.

WOW, this song makes no sense at all.

First its all sad, then it's happy, then sad again, then happy.

Terrible song.

You don't get it. I'm making a comparison. Not saying that everyone who eats junk food is an emo. But a little smarter next time..But anyway, I hate emo's for a reason. Listen to me, watch me cry, watch me, I want attention. Let me tell you my life story, doesn't life suck? Ups and downs every second as if they have PMS.

I know I'm stereotyping, but yeah, those are the emos for ya at our school.

I'm not sure what song you listened to.. I'm going to suppose it was 'Welcome To The Black Parade' and I'm wondering where you found happy lyrics in there.. Yeah, the beat picks up but the lyrics are never happy lyrics..
