all in the "Membership Benefits" section is pictures of runescape, but ALL of them are really really different looking, especially the people. just look around the section and you will see.

so do you guys think this is a little hint for a huge graphic update in the future? or do they just want people to get members for better graphics then find out they lied

Those are nice-looking. I have a feeling that those are rendered in game. However, I think JAGeX purposely dumbed down the quality of the graphics to support everyone playing the game.

Look at poh pictures there, the rooms aren't rs rooms. they mix of rooms.

 

 

 

I pretty sure they got a tool that they make the 3d items in it and it work on directx and have anti-aliasing and thats why it is look so good.

It is false advertising and its wrong. Don't expect to see anything like in the pictures any time soon....if ever.

Graphics are the thing i like least about runescape, i was happy with rs classic, Any graphical updates are to the detriment of gameplay couse it just looks that much more attractive to those spoilt 10 year olds who would have never given it a second glance in the past.

I have been playing rs for years and the best update ive ever seen its rly the graphic update... dam... rs always would need graphic update

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In the past they couldnt do it, but now with the runescript thingy andrew do, now they can, so i wouldnt care if they take like 3 or more months of no updates just for concentrate all the jagex team on graphics updates :) (and obviously, all still in java format, as we love it)

Well I'm glad they have updated the Member Benefits page. I remember it said "Do you want to get that Dragon spear that everyone is talking about?". Lol dragon spears are hardly talked about now + it's not a very good weapon.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

On-Topic: I hope they update the faces for players like they have for some human NPCs.

They just cleaned it up to make the game appear better looking than it really is. I like how they're updating some of the movesets (fishing, for instance) but the bottom line is all of our characters look really, really bad.

I could see a them updating the character graphics again. I wouldnt want too much added to it though, maybe better detail and texturing in the characters.
