I've noticed something about the 2 newest quests Elemental Workshop II and My Arm's big adventure. At the Mind level of the workshop when the quest came out I noticed that other players in the level didn't appear, I was all on my own down there. When I did the My Arm quest when it also came out, I went to the top of the mountian and realised where I was and again I noticed that I didn't see anyone around where players would usually appear.

 

 

 

Is it because Jagex doesn't want other players around giving clues and hints when the quest is newly released? So they make other players dissapear while you're on your own doing the new quest with no clues from other players :| . Mind you I would of had the Elemental Workshop quest done quicker if players showed up giving out clues and stuff. Expect to see more quests like these when your on your own.

heh, i think you're overthinking it. many parts of those quests required individual action. Imagine seeing 200 carts move around, making the mind bar as everyone does it at once, or fifty giant roc birds trying to get the goutweed.

This happened in the HAM stealth puzzle didn't it too? I think it's a clutter issue: you could just go outside... But down there it'd have like 100 zaniks... bit weird?

na, it wouldn't be like that, you'd see your own individual thing, but not others. Anyway, i hadn't thought about this, but its proibably true.

In Swan Song when you're doing the quest and in the village, you cant see anyone else until you're done

It's just another map. If you could see a whole bunch of people using the areas inside Piscatoris before YOU'VE saved it it would ruin the quest. YOU are the one who is supposed to be the hero, YOU are the one who is supposed to be figuring out these puzzles. Once you do then you can complete the quest and you actually become the hero but by seeing others already in an area in which you alone know about or are there to save ruins the fact that you are the hero in this story. That's just my opinion though.

thats true, but the elemental workshop was sopposed to be some hidden labratory nobody knew about, it wouldnt make sence if 200 people were down there.

Oh yeah I forgot about that quest. I don't know why they had to do that other than backing the reason why Jagex want you on your own doing a quest.

what about shadow of the storm? inside the portal you cant see anybody else

Yeah it is kinda interesting. What about the temple of light, can you see other people in there, I never tried.

Its the same thing in the Lumbridge Banquet Room during Recipe For Disaster. You can't see anyone in there.

Well, that my be true, but maybe its just because thats how the quest works.... Can you imagine 50 people all fighting the Gelitannoth mother or the Culinaromancer?

whenever you go to do demon slayer, there's a new cutscene and everyone dissappears and you can't do it at a very low lvl anymore because the wizrds will hit 2 6s on you when you have 10 hp... actualluy that's just my story... it goes something like that

Swan Song was the same.... when u're fighting the troll queen (sea monster thingy) you cant see the ppl fishing... when i deafeated the monster .. the ppl just appeared lol quite surprising

well I dont attempt a quest until the guide is up so i guess this doesnt really apply to me :)

Yeah you can. I had to have a friend come in and help me during Mournings Ends Part 2.

Good thing it's not like that in Legends or Desert Treasure :wink:

yeah just like with recipe for disaster, i got teled there from old man and i could see bank chest but other ppl were using it.

Don't forget Horror from the Deep. When you fight the monster at the end there aren't dozens of dagganoths running around with people fighting them. Its only after that quest that they show up, in the same spot you just were.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Similar thing with farming patches, you can only see your own.

Swan Song too was like that, once you beat it, everyone appeared but while before you beat it your the only one in the fishing village
