Most people hoard over a death pile and very few people will ever return anything they find. You did more than most people would do by waiting a while for the person to return.

One guy was Dharoking and using Guthan at fire giants..

Same things happen in the wilderness. If i get a kill out there that's an obvious lag, ie i shoot someone down slowly and they don't eat with food in the inv, i'm usually willing to give back what they lost. There are the exceptions of rudeness, etc.

No you didn't. I personally wouldn't have given anything back no matter what the impression they gave me. I value my friends over pixils but when it comes to strangers I could care less. (that dosen't mean I go around scamming or asking to 'try on' peoples rares, though). You're an angel compared to me, I suppose :)

I would have jumped on it also. Maybe asked around if anyone they knew died, or made an attempt to find the owner, but hey... they died. Its your right.

of course you were right. Most people would probably have tried to say it was their stuff, and if you did feel like giving it back, you should ask them what was in the pile. if they knew most or all of it, give it back if you want. otherwise they're probably lying.

to tell you the truth...you did nothing wrong and even if i saw someone saying ites his/her stuff i wouldnt give it back because i think if someone wasnt careful enough to knoow how to keep his stuff its his problem...even if it was lag or something...finders keepers...they're probably just jealos...

how many of us can say we would honestly give back a gigantic deathpile? If it was a friend of course many would give back back but if it wasn't i'm sure it is a much lower percentage.

Wow someone brought up an old post again, but now I have a different perspective on it. According to "People over Pixels" pking should be the worst thing in rs to do. You go and kill people for their pixels :P Im never going to stop pking so Ill just keep Pixel Pirating :D

Not really, anyone could have done that and claimed it to be theres. If I saw someone die, or just saw the deathpile I'd take the stuff and run. If I knew 100% it was a good friend or a well-known tip.iter I'd probably give it back. In your case its fair game.

this has happened a few times in my years of playing, and I had the fortune of not being flamed/yelled at, so I gave back all the stuff.

just sounds like a bunch of whiny 5 year olds. Didn't you say you would give the stuff back? so why are they flaming you for saying you wouldnt? lol. Just sounds to me like they didn't listen to you.

If they were rude, I personally wouldn't have given anything back so no, you did absolutely nothing wrong :
